It's just the looks. i guess you can say that they add some flash to spinning. otherwise it doesnt effect how you spin

long nails are gross on guys. otherwise it disgusts me sometimes to see someone spinning with long nails, not saying shonen spins bad, because he rocks, but it doesnt help imo

Well it becomes difficult to perform tricks that involve the fingertips like the triangle pass or basketball spin. Other than that it's just for looks.

Well. im currently growing out my nails right now but in general, you should be able to triangle pass with no problem even without nails. I dont use my nails D: -

Only weiner as fools do, real stoners pack it down with their fingers. You end up getting a callus on the end of whatever finger you use the most. Most people grow pinky nails so that they can do a bump up cocaine or some other upper without putting a line out or having a little spoon. OT I grew mine out, its cruise control for some style, but they get so damned dirty that I can't deal with knowing that all that stuff is underneath there. and people always are like, "dude clip your nails". They just don't get it. Whatever, short nails for me. -

Having a long thumb nail is like a pocketknife you can carry everywhere. I open plastic wrappers of food and stuff using that. Longest I've ever kept is 6mm. My nails are always clean and white :3

Lol @Krypton . Very true o___0 The longest my nails ever got were 8mm of white. Although this isn't soooo bad considering my nail beds end quite a bit below the actual end of my finger.
