Just askin' if you guys crack your knuckles as a warm-up. Fun-fact, a scientist won an ignoble prize for proving that cracking your knuckles don't cause arithritis. He did so by cracking only the knuckles on his left hand for forty odd years, while never cracking his right.

technically knuckle cracking is just gaseous built up inside the joints of your fingers and then you pop it out. sorta.. but yeah i always crack my knuckles but sometimes late at night after spinning and craking my knuckles my fingers get stuck pointing away from my palm.. :o

Me too I always crack my knuckles before spinning and I already knew this stuff even before doing ps :) For me It's not a warm up but I use It to release the tension in my fingers and my knuckles.

I think we do this subconsciously: anything that involves our hands. Pretty interesting, stuff. Why do we do this though? Does it help pen spin? Just throwing some questions out there.

Right, because performing an experiment with a single test subject is how scientists "prove" things.

Heheh, yeah my bad. "Proved" wasn't the right word "demonstrated" is probably better. Still, pretty funny, no? Ignoble prizes are in some ways more interesting then noble ones (Make 'em laugh and then make 'em think)

Most of the time I can't crack my knuckles unless I spin for a while or playing osu.

Yes, I've been cracking my knuckles since I was a teenager. I have no problems with my joints at all. No enlarged knuckles, nothing. The only damage it does is that people around me think it's weird.
