Hand Care / how do you treat hand pain?

well idk about you guys, but when i spend a few days constantly spinning i'll sometimes develop wrist, finger or back hand pain. what i usually do is: 1 - stop spinning 2 - put a wrist brace. i'll fix my wrist bent to a certain degree, and make sure the brace isn't too tight so not to interrupt blood flow. 3 - do nothing with the right hand - includes using my other hand to use the mouse, and type one handed. after a few hours i'll take the brace off and start spinning again. if no pain comes - great, if it does come i'll put the wrist brace again. do any of you have other methods? has anyone tried treating with ice / heat pads? share your experience

Dip your hand in ice. It should work because it numbs the pain

dissolve some epsom salt in boiling/hot water then let it cool down a bit or just add some cool water until its to your liking. soak your hands in it for anywhere between 5-20 minutes. for me its like an instant remedy. my hands stop hurting/cramping up and it feels nice too. also just try not to overdo it. dont go practicing continuous haituas with a vgg emboss for 5 hours... obviously you get sore after that.

I wear a glove on my right/left hand to prevent me from spinning. It also gives me the notion to use my other hand more often.

Cut off your hand. Then it will be wrist pain.

Here's what I don't understand though - afaik, the low temperatures numb the pain, but do they actually heal something? does ice reduce inflammation? the cold would would also restrict blood flow which to me sounds bad, so I don't really understand this method.

Warm water sound like they would probably increase blood flow and help you heal faster. i read (just now) good and bad reviews on epsom salt. From your experience is there a difference between just warm water and warm water + epsom salt?
    kneading
    As in kneading dough?
I don't mind pain. I'm spinning through the pain.
    I think that's a bad idea.

@shoeman something like that,i guess.instead of a dough, you knead your hand with your other hand.

I usually rest my Right/Left Hand which is in pain for some time. I just stop Spinning, relax my hand and do other things that does not stress my hand. This encourages me to train my other Hand while waiting for my "Injured" Hand to recover.

You could try and spin with your other hand while letting the sore hand heal, that's a big plus for ambidextrious spinning, you're prepared if one hand is injured or something.

Man the fuck up and ignore the pain. But no really just do some other activity or train the other hand.

I always stop before reaching that limit. Think what was the reason of the pain and try to not do that again. It's pretty obvious, for everything, I think.

Putting your hand on something cold like ice or a window feels really nice... Just rest for maybe 20-30 minutes, do some of the hand exercises to strengthen your hands.
