    New spinner of the week, Raem:

    Hey UPSB, My name is Erik aka Raem (you might also remember me as Ralys from the earlier days). I live in Lithuania and I am turning 18 this year. I joined UPSB (as well as started spinning) approximately four years ago, but I am sure many of you could beat the living shit out of me, as i now use my pens more for writing (as in both, writing stories and calligraphy). I am quite a nerd for physics and maths, and especially astronomy (i hate sci-fi though), as I can relate to it both, my scientific, and, well, romantic sides. I also like playing piano and reading litearutre. Ask me anything!

    favorite astrophysicist?
    Well that's quite specific, and one doesn't always have to have a favorite, especially when i only got one that i really adore, but he's a local astrophysicist in lithuania, so doesn't help much. If I had to choose I think I would jump on the bandwagon and go with Neil DeGrasse Tyson though. More so for his attitude and views rather than accomplishments in astrophysics

    I am not sure whether it can be beaten with fire, but there is no other way of expressing it: i'd burn it if only i could, so that nobody would confuse it with astronomy ever again :P

    I like writing stories too! What kind of stories?
    At first I had given fantasy a chance, but well, i am no Tolkien lol, it's hard to write something like that and avoid cliches. Mostly it's just short novels or satyrical miniatures (well I guess it's quite expected from a teen)
    How long have you played the piano?
    Well my parents didn't send me to a musical school so I only picked it up later. I got an old piano on christmas of 2006, so now a little bit more than 5 years. still suck though xP
    Favorite pen spinning pen?
    I never modded much and do not own any of the popular mods, so I can't answer to this one
    Do you buy fountain pens? Which ones do you have if you do?
    I don't even know what that is lol! :D enlighten me please.

    Edit: oops, it said move, not movie lol; nevermind I've always loved shadow, i actually learned it before sonic. My favorite spinners would be Raimo (first and foremost), Penson, Eban and Fratleym.

    Oh I'd love to, but I'm afraid I am too poor, and I first want to collect enough money for all the music festivals I want to visit.. :D I promise one day I will join in though ;) In fact german gathering is the one i would love to attend the most. Would love to meet the dane, wush(sorry don't remember the rest of his name) and perhaps eriror. And, well, you too, pudels kern :P

    On the topic of writing, do you role play? What is your top 5 favorite songs? Who got you into pen spinning? Who inspired you the most? To you, who has the most distinctive spinning style? Who's you best spinning friend on whichever board you are most active in? (I just thought you would know because you said calligraphy. Anyways, you could probably google fountain pens for a better idea then my sorry excuse of a description.) You should write a collaboration story with me! Except I suck more than you most likely haha.

    yes, to an extent i guess. The common idea of heaven and hell disturbs me though.

    most inspiring celebrity: Maynard James Keenan most inspiring person in general: one my friend's father Most inspiring thing in general: it might sound cliche, but i really took all my inspiration and hopes from the moon since childhood.

    I can only give vague description if you wish, but no pictures :> and no famous woman as i know it would "do the trick", so I can't just point a finger =)

    french, hands down. Even though I can't speak or understand it at all, but just for the way it sounds =]

    What have you been doing this past few years?
    technically i was getting my life together, started doing sports, paid more attention to studies and social life, even added new hobbies such as poi. If it wasn't for this I would have probably transformed into a raging internet nerd, which i would not like =)

    agnostic atheist that is, yes.

    not in the sense of phobia but fear in general, I think it's fear of being left alone for the bigger part of my life and accidentally taking someones life or causing severe harm, which has almost happened on multiple occasions

    I am not active on any board right now, and the only place I've ever belonged is upsb =). biggest friend would probably be GSkyrunner (Enkronidus) xP

    Goals in life?
    Definitely not running for a nobel prize or anything like that. I want to become a successful teacher, be a good husband and not fail as a father. That is all. Mediocrity empowers in this case.

    eh, disappointing here, but I have no answer. I am more of a piano guy than violin, and in the same way i pay way less attention to violin music. Wouldn't be fair to point one out now.

    Lost both mods i liked. Nah kidding, just got bored I guess? I did lose the mods, but I would have no problems making one just right now, at this very moment. Somehow I don't, lack of motivation to go spin seriously again. Also thanks for the kind words haha =) But I could say pretty much the same for you

    Well nothing too difficult actually, I would rather play easier song well than more difficult one sucky. Anyway, most difficult one would probably be Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger arranged by Zohar002 My dream is to one day be able to play Concert paraphrase on "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts by Takehiko Yamada
