Just wondering if anyone has come up with this mod yet? I used two pentel RSVP RTs, snapped both ends off, cut one of the barrels in half and push the thinner part of the second RT into the cut barrel with a grip in the middle to even out the barrel's diameter. @ Iota I think it's variation of some Mod someone made XD. I had one similiar to yours. It had Bellcolor Caps ; Bellcolor Body ; HGG Tips and Dr Grips.

It has also the character of a KS sporty (stuhl) mod. add hgg grip and ks sporty tips and you would own a stuhls mod. every mod with superpirat body, comssa caps, dr grip grips and parts of hgg is nearly a stuhl mod. a stuhlmod weights about 16g so this mod should weight about 10-11g. you put a lot of dr grip grip(2.5cm /half a full grip?) on the comssa cap so maybe 12g o.O

the one he spun was with a cartoon comssa body. but would using a different body for it change it's originality? i think i prefer it on an RSVP-type clear KT body thing (the one K4S came up with).

lol k Nation. but i don't think it's exactly just a comssa, and I don't totally get what you mean. So then why are mods like signo tipped MXs, signo comssas, Dr. M&Ms, etc. all considered separate from the mods they're similar to /"sub from"? but i was actually considering changing the tips out on that as well.

People have been telling me that Pandamonium has already made the mod, and that I only subbed some parts, but I'm almost positive that I did some things differently from him... I used a double capped ballsign with super grip grips and pentel hybrid jell pen tips. The super grip grips are cut at the 2nd ring from the smooth end and placed (cut end first) on the ballsign cap until the first "ring" (you can see it with clearish ballsign caps, maybe not with others). The rest of the super grip grips are put inside the extended portion of the larger piece (again, cut end first), and the hybrid jell tips are placed inside the grip.
It's 19.1 CM long and I don't know how much it weighs, but it spins really nicely IMO (though I can't do anything other than standalone tricks yet xd). -

I made another mod, with some spare parts I had. It's Hybrid Gel Roller grips over bic round stic caps with some anyball portions on them and on a ballsign body. It also has some random metal tips inside the cap to add weight, I don't know what it is because I took it off of a random promotional pen. [spoiler=More enormous pictures]

Actually it isn't that light because it has tips inside the cap that you can't see. -

Anyone ever tried this? I cut a Dr.grip's barrel just below where the clip normally breaks off. Stick a piece of a bic round stick in it and take a supertip cap and cut some off the top and slide it onto the piece of bic sticking out. Take a zebra jiminie cap and put two tips inside it (problem is I have no idea what kind they are, except I got them from like 10 year old pilot pens). Wrap some tape around the supertip cap and slide on the jiminie. Since the mechanism for the dr.grip is broken now, what i did was take a G2 ink tube and cut some off the end. The G2's ink tube tip fits into the dr.girp's tip so that it won't be pushed out when writing. Center of balance is a little off but spins good and writes well.

eh, I dont have a camera, but basically it's- I gellyroll/ballsign body, an rsvp can with grips on it, the rsvp cap is attached to the gellyroll cap which has been shaved down, the whole cap is on the front of the body, then the tip uses an rsvp grip and some profile/anyball rings and 2 signo tips attached at the front by the grip. Sorry I dont have a camera right now, but I'll post a picture of it asap.

Its a gelly roll/ballsign body, with the cap on it, but the cap is shaved and sanded to fit inside of the rsvp cap with grips on it. The front has some profile/anyball rings along with an rsvp grip with 2 signo tips, 1 on top of the other. It it new?

@Dylan that looks like a clean mod not sure how it spins, but it seems nice you can post it here Show Off Your Pens Thread (soyp) and see if it gets requests for a tutorial even if it doesn't if it spins nice for you, its a nice personal mod one point, the sanding down of the ballsign seems like a lot of work

Yeah, I like the look to it, and the color scheme looks great when spinning, for sanding the ballsign cap, it doesnt take to long, because first i just cut off as much of the little edge things, then I use a tiny bit of sandpaper, it works fine. It's nice that it only needs american parts. I originally made a v1 of it while trying to make an s777 mx, but i didnt have any of the parts, so every peice is different. I already posted it on soyp, but it was like 2 pages ago so I'll post it in a few days if it gets no replies. Thanks for responing. ;) -

Pretty easy mod, and only two easy to find parts needed (Z-grip and bic round stick/ultra), spins better than a bictory and cost close to the same price.
Dr.grip tips actually screw right on if you want a heavier mod, I should experiment some more though. -

depending on the availibility of the parts, it could be a good beginner mod could you be more specific there, the parts you mentioned didn't match as far as i could see with the mod in the picture -

It uses two Zebra Z-Grips with their retractable mechanism taken off the backs, and a bic flexgrip ultra placed in where mechanisms were. The two are joined together by the flexgrip. You can use a bic round stick but it will be a little loose unless you wrap it in some paper. -

i suggest wrap it with tape, it'll hold better if the parts are cheap, and easily accessible in the US and cananda, it could be useful for new spinners to have more options however, i dont think a tutorial is necessary, as it is quite simple to figure out

yep, its a ballsign KT basically the original (the one bonkura made) is ballsign body, double capped with KT caps

i have made a personal mod and it is preety good. it has great momentum and is like a dr.kt but not as heavy it is made with 1 uniball signo body (with the ink tube) 2 uniball signo caps (take off the arm thing) 2 grips of your chossing 2 tips

Two partial supertips connected with a piece of bic round stic, then double capped. Each cap is an rsvp grip shoved as far into an rsvp cap as in a mx. One signo tip put in each cap so the tip points into the supertip barrels when placed on. Teflon on barrels to hold caps on tight. -

They're not made.. but they look to me like just plain bodies with caps on them and grips to make them heavy. Nothing really new, but I guess the body combinations are. Other than that, nothing new to my eyes.

What mod is this? I took a comssa metallic (that I ordered from Penwish) and replaced the caps with the grips and pen tips from two Zebra F-402 pens (which are a lot heavier than the comssa caps). Then I added those hoop thingies from the comssa caps onto the grips. If this is a new pen mod, I'd like to name it the Dark Comssa O_o

I forgot my pen at home today and had to make one because I was falling asleep in class using only the pens at the student store. I used only: 2 BIC round stic grips 2 Pentel Rsvp's And came up with an awesome mod that not only has great momentum, it is also lighter than my buster cyl so it doesn't tire my hand. And I can uncap it to take notes if I should so be inclined. I made the mod by: Pulling the back plug out of one Bic grip and cutting the same pen's ink tube short. Taking the grip and ink tube out of another Bic grip and cutting it short. Placing both grip assemblies into one body like a classic bictory (but shorter). Placing an rsvp grip on either side and capping either side with an rsvp cap. There isn't a specific setting as to how far you push the grips on, I like my pen longer so I left them far to the ends. The caps don't come off when spinning but can be pulled off to write. It came out looking pretty decent, and I get my bic bodied pen that has enough momentum to bust and do continuous spins. It's easily assembled from all american parts so it's cheap for us yanks to get a hold of, but not all that original.... Now, please tell me I get to name it hahah! Has anyone seen a similar mod?

A little longer than a ComPirat, about the same weight, made solelyout of 2 Supergrips, but I did put some tips from a random commercial pen to get better weight, but they tended to drop off, so I put back the normal tips. Pic is a little outdated, but im too lazy taking another :P -

yeahh so i do this whole pen spinning thing as a thing to past time in class, my friend had one of these spin pens he made himself with a pentel and a g2, it was balanced and great for the thumbaround and the the sonic thing. well, yesterdat i was bored in french class and i think i created whats known to be my own mod? ahhaha. it goes as follows. Back of the pen. G2 back------------------BIC ultra round stic Grip usa---------------- some kind of Zebra brand mechanical pencil metal tip I have grips including the G2 and a grip off of my moms work pen from the pharmacy. the g2 grip has to be on the zebra machanical pencil part, which isnt just hte metal tip, but the grip part that goes with it. the original grip the zebra pencil had was just the hard plastic. there was no need to file any threads, actually this was created out of sheer intuitiveness. i figured how the G2 clicking mechanism works and cut the end of an old pen and taped it to an ink tube to extend the length, added a spring and cerated the spring stopper on the ink tube. for that i used a twisted piece of tape to emulate the plastic spring stoppers used on ink tube pens. then i assembled it, adjusting the end of the G2 inorder to create a full mechanized RETRACTABLE 24 cm long pen. its great:) well balanced, you might need to find that sweet spot for you and your spinning style, thats what the grips are for to adjust the weight and balance of tje pen to your liking.

its a kt with a sub body, nothing special or new. It's probably been done before and uses the exact same cap package as the dr kt, only the body is longer now.

Is this mod new? i made an ivan mod body without sanding and just sticking and put a profile ring in between the gaps. then i stuck a ZT tip into each end of the mod. i haven't made this mod yet, but i'm in the middle of it: uses supertip body, 2 ct small caps with signo tips shoved onto the outside (like how a signo fits perfectly onto a 094 cap) hgg tips inside the caps bic body/portion of g2 ink tube to connect supertip body+ct cap. then i think i'll get some sticky tack to keep the hgg tip from rattling inside the ct cap. so yeah, is this new? edit: i plan to add grips too. either sailors, profile, dr grips...etc :3

not quite sure if that would help much with the weight/momentum since yyf hubs are plastic. unless you are going for a lighter mod -

Well yes. You can call it your own personal mx^2 if it has similar looks but do not sell it as mx^2 without disclosing the fact that you only used half the parts and half random other grips.

Well, I use completely different parts for mine. Heres the parts list: 3 - Zebra F301 or M301 metal bodies 2x Bic Round Stick (Body for the inside to hold all the metal barrels together and the plastic end caps to make the barrels more snug on the BIC if to much sanding is done). And if you want to go a little further: 2x R.S.V.P Pens (for the grips and tips).

@firepong Well, it's not really anything new. Connecting bodies with bic bodies is a very normal modding technique. I give you props to figuring something out by yourself though. It can of course be your personal mod, and you could name it, but I wouldn't call it anything new. It's a variation of any double body connection mod, with extra weigth on ends.

ArtColor barrel, Supertip caps with Zebra Z Grip grips and uniball grips. The tips are papermate inkjoy, kinda similar to signo tips.

We don't see the mod very well but I will says that for the body, it's maybe a purple playcolor or a color express pen double capped with purple com.ssa caps and some purple grip too... Or maybe it's just a DC purple bellcolor But I don't know if the mod as a particular name

It is not a HCMX but it does looks similar to one. The only thing you are missing on the mod is the comssa cap. Instead of just the anyball on the pen put the cap on the Comssa and then the anyball on the cap. The cap looks fine, and i like the diamond cut. Added a nice touch, very nice for your first time i presume? Yes it's a new mod, cause I didn't see this mod anywhere but there's some of mod that use this body ( beginner personal mod ) search in this section and you will find something like this :) But it's looking great ;) It will look better with an insert, have you tried it yet ( whit an insert ) ?

There is a spiral on the inside of the body that prohibits using a traditional insert. I was considering trying to feed a strip of black paper along the spiral so the inside would look black, but I haven't found a strip of paper long enough. -

It is not something new, but things like this have been done before. If you feed it a strip of paper, won't the paper get stuck? -

Mate, it doesnt matter what else it has on it. A buster can have 20 different grips on it its still a buster. Even if you showed us your pen in different ways, with different grips on each it would still be a signo tipped comssa Also i dont believe a signo tipped comssa is same weight as an airfit tipped buster. i think double capped comssa are not worth mentioning, because everybody has his own variation of it. i think something new should should be like new kind of body (like the pcst mod by hippo) or a more creative way of attaching caps. generally it's pretty difficult to develop a dc mod. SC-Mods have more variations like what cap is used, how do you do the front part etc..

We cant have a tutorial for every single permutation of grips/tips. We have the basics, like metal comssa, buster, signo tipped comssa, etc. And we don't need two tutorials, one saying "put 3 rings of sailor and 2 cm of dr. grip" and another saying "put 5 rings of sailor and 1.5 cm of Dr. Grip" It has to be original

HELP. I'm looking for a mod tutorial that I saw a few weeks back, but now I can't find it. It was a SC retractable and I remember the recipe had 4 pens on it. They were: G2 G3 RSVP Zebra F301 I remember thinking it looked awesome and I had all the pens except the Zebra F301.
