Not a new concept I'll admit but a surprisingly unexplored one. The base trick is essentially a sonic 23-13 ~> inverse shadow 0.5 13-12. It looks like a sonic with an extra 0.5 spins sneakily placed in the middle it has a lot of potential and to be honest I dont think we've even scratched the surface at the moment This is the 1st video I saw of them... released in Feb 2010... so quite an old concept indeed all in all... learn and discuss my vid ;D

Not really that appealing to look at from what i've seen. Difficulty wise, it's hard. lol. I guess the number of variations of this could be quite a lot, e.g. Inverse Transparent Sonic, Pseudo Transparent Sonic, etc etc. I don't think i've actually seen this in a combo though

Why the hell is it called transparent sonic?

I suppose it's because the trick itself at first glace is not clear on how it's done.

That stuff is a lot older than you think. The first video is from december 2007. http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=1262&st=140&p=30187&#entry30187 http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=56&st=410&p=46087&#entry46087 I do them in half of my combos instead of normal sonics but these subtle changes are usually ignored

This trick called transparent sonic because it starts as normal sonic, but then creates illusion that the pen passes through the finger. This trick invented by Aborrol, the russian spinner, i am russian too, and I know what I'm talking about.
