The Vault / A brand new sneaky trick

The trick is as follows: Balance the pen on your middle finger horizontally (could be any finger). The centre of balance of the pen will be over your finger, so the pen is like a see-saw, with your finger acting as the pivot. Flip the pen up (I usually do 1/2 flip) with a flick of the wrist. Catch again on your middle finger in the horizontal balance, where it started. Thoughts? Name? I don't want this trick on the main forum, because it's going in a new trick combo in the January CTT battle. Thanks. Edit: I find this trick really hard to. Is it just me? :S

Fingerstall flip? e.g. Indexstall Flip 0.5 or Thumbstall Flip 1.5 (difficult) Stall Flip is cool Strat! :thumb: Edited description @Zombo.

    I'd still like a video. I'm a visual learner.

There is nothing to learn really. It's just a really hard catch.

It's really hard to set up mid-combo, but easily usable as a combo starter. It's just that the trick itself is pretty hard. I might actually make a video of it tomorrow. :)

That would be the same trick, with no flips. The flips make the trick difficult and aesthetically pleasing! :thumb:

It's easier to do if you bring up another finger and tap it right before the throw so it can flip. I did it off of my middle finger and used my index to get the flip going at the last second. Landed .5 a couple of times actually, but like you said it would be hard to set up mid-combo. Cool concept though, I have a few things I've never seen done before that I'm going to put in an up coming combo also.

Never seen that. But this is an air trick and it doesn't sound like that is. You can see a video of this trick (minus the cool flips) in the first page of this thread from firefox.

That's gonna be Indexspin ~ Indexspin Release ~ Indexspin? Basketball spin is on top of the finger, like how you spin a basketball. Fucking nice trick though!
