Hey guys, It's that time of the year again...when we SoCal spinners get together and get drunk and what not (oh wait...that doesn't really happen) Well, I know I haven't been around the board lately, but I'm still pen spinning every day, and hope to meet you guys/gals at the next gathering if you can make it. As usual, let's start by posting your desired/available dates so we can try to find a date that's suitable for most people. If you're visiting from out of town, please mention that so we can try to make you a higher priority than those who can always come to the next gathering. The location will most likely be the usual Brea Mall (Brea, CA). Sugestions for events, workshops, etc. are welcome and open for discussion. I'll keep this first post updated with the most recent details. LOL, I have an excuse. :3 I have study groups for Calculus so I'll say we're going to Brea Mall for a study meeting. :lol: And I'll probably have my driver's license by then so I can drive there myself w/o having to notify my parents. :D -

Ok, sorry for the delay, but I think we can narrow the dates down to two days: 12/10 or 12/17 I think that anything earlier is too soon. I can't make it on 12/3, and based one the calendar, the last 2 weeks for December are also too close to Xmas and New Year's, so most probably would already have plans. I know for sure I can't go on the 10th. The 17th is when I get off so that seems best. And @Nachoaddict I wont need a ride. My parents wouldn't be too happy about me going with someone I've never met anyways. I'm pretty sure my parents would be fine with dropping me off at Brea. So unless you need a ride, that's the plan for me.

ugh..it looks like I'll have to call this one on the 17th. Sorry sangara...i was hoping you could make it this time, but it looks like we don't have a lot of people as it is, and the majority cant' make it on the 17th. I guess I should have started this thread earlier, and opened the poll with more options right from the start...my bad...bad planning on my part. Maybe we can make a small get together in January or February...november and december are some of the busiest months for me, so I have a hard time planning. Alternatively, you could ditch whatever you're doing in Norcal and hang with us...I'll buy you dinner if you come... how's that? ;)

You're not only spinning pens, you're fraternizing with people who share the same interest as you. In fact I'd argue it's not about the spinning as it's about the community. -

@Mufoofee, here's more info about Brea Mall http://www.simon.com/mall/?id=233 We'll be at the food court in the 2nd floor (you'll see lots of tables). People show up at different times, but after 11am, you should be able to find us.

Since I am working with Grant on both of our documentaries, I feel that it is necessary to pass on his details to those that may be to be filmed. He is unable to make it to this Socal gathering, but if any of you have free time and want to be filmed, feel free to contact him.
