I was wondering if you guys can give me ideas because some of my friend think that pen spinning is useless. Even if i shows some pen spinning videos that dont find it amuzing. They still think its useless and i sometimes get neative comments. So what are some benefits i can say to make them go like "wow pen spinning is useful" ? More benefits the better :)

Very few direct benefits, it depends what you personally get out of it and value. You need to answer that question for yourself.

Increased hand strength and flexibility, better hand eye coordination, and if you count modding, you have better technical skills and problem solving. For ex. when I was carving pumpkins a week ago, I was far better at it than I was last year b/c I could make designs and had better cutting skills.

A benefit of pen spinning is that you're pretty much a walking freakshow. If your school has some talent show or something, you can just join it without needing to do extra practice cause you already practice everyday :P And obviously, you'd come first out of it ^^

the understanding of momentum and the way things flow, usually in a rounded motion, can really help you learn more well known things like staff or poi which, when combined with fire, can make you money

^This. @linli07 I think better hand eye coordination is mainly based off of 1p2h, 2p2h, and aerial tricks. The main benefit is entertainment and it is of sentimental value. IMO, pen spinning is what represents me, my expression. Just as dancing and art is a form of expression. I get ticked off when people tell me it's useless so I use technicality on them. (e.g. You breathing and eating is useless too. Why should you even be alive? Is it going to end the world? Why even go to school? Why play basketball? Why play video games? Why watch TV? Because it's fun? Pen spinning is fun too. So don't go telling me all this bullshit about pen spinning being useless.) And look at the other so-called "useless" hobbies, Rubik's cube, cup stacking, balisong, etc. Those are useless? Ask them what their hobby is. The "useless" bullshit is overrated. I really love pen spinning and I'm coming up with a dance routine for it too for an upcoming performance at December. Don't ask why. :3 I can't wait to show off my stuff in front of the stage. xD

It's a good way to get rid of friends you don't like. For example, if a friend is sitting in a cafe with you and you want them to leave, you don't have to ask them to, just pull out some pens and start spinning.
