Okay, I've been thinking for the past year about doing a feature-length pen spinning documentary. It will combine all the events and history of pen spinning and condense it down into a hour long film. It will be aimed for all skill-levels of pen spinners and hopefully even for non-psers. This is going to take a long time to produce, so I am asking if there's any interest for a video like this and who would like to donate their time to help create this non-profit film. My ideas for topics/content will be:
[*]The entire history of pen spinning, how it came to be, when did communities form, events, etc. [*]Pen Spinning Interviews [*]Pen Spinning as an Art Form [*]Pen Spinning as a Sport [*]Communities (Also, short segment of how pen spinners play a part in relieving the damage from natural disasters.) [*]Future of Pen Spinning
(Of course, this will be edited as time continues.) If there is enough community interest, I will go ahead and put sign-ups for volunteer work. (This is for non-profit, and you will be credited.) The types of roles that you can expect:
[*]Researchers (That is, searching for relevant content about the topics listed, and compiling it into a readable list.) [*]Script Editors (Script work / Manipulates with content from Researchers and presents it into a presentable form.) [*]Video Editor (Self-explanatory.) [*]Voice Actors (Narrative content / Interviews) [*]Translators (Self-explanatory, for translating content and/or audio/video.) [*]Also, community founders (Or anybody with comprehensive skill that can volunteer their time and answer a couple questions for the video. [*]Etc.
So, please vote on the poll so I can see if I should go ahead with this project! If not, oh well. (PS: This isn't a: I'm the producer that doesn't do work and takes credit for it. I can ensure I will be doing my part in the video, and everybody will be credited. ^^ ) [Also, anything mentioned in this post is subject to change.]

I probably mis-lead you guys by putting "sign-ups" in the thread title. This isn't the sign-ups thread, it will be created if this project will be going live.

It seems cool. I'd really like to see how this turns out. I wonder if this film might be able to be used for getting people into pen spinning.... I are excited.

Brilliant idea! I'm just afraid that if we start it we'll fizzle out half way and not complete it... Nonetheless, I'd love to help in whatever way possible. Perhaps you might wanna' contact the historians back in v3 to help out a little?

I was thinking of doing something like this ever since the day I started but I was waiting till I had some say/respect in the community (2-3 years) I am really glad you brought this up. This will serve as an explanation of various things to newbies and help them better understand what pen spinning really is. I am not trying to be negative here or anything but to make a decent documentary, it will take a lot of work and dedication. I will gladly help out in whatever way possible. Hopefully, iColor you are able to complete this project, I believe in you. I believe this is possible if we work hard enough. LET"S DO THIS GUYS.

I'm up for this, I speak fluent French so I can translate some useful texts from FPSB and BPSC (the Belgium one). I'm also British and there is a legal rule that in every media ever made there should be someone British within it. Hmmm... Well, i'd be more than happy to help you.

this would be totally nice.. especially if we can kinda 'stream' this to each of our countries... it will be nice to promote it to non-psers. this documentary will be kinda 'self-satisfactory' if we focus more on streaming it with co-spinners. so i highly suggest that it must be interesting enough to be viewed by non-psers ^_^ i totally agree with this project! ;D

I suggest that a group should be made for this. So we can have different threads for different topics of the PS Documentary.
