How exactly do you do a thumbaround palm down? It keeps flying down, so do I need to push harder with my middlefinger? This thread might be closed soon because I asked in the incorrect thread. Find my post here (in the correct thread): http://forum.upsb.info/showthread.php?t=11&p=142712#post142712

this isn't exactly a 'fundamental' ahhaha but yes, use more force, and move your hand to catch it when you just learn it

the trick is to do the thumaround palm down like you are screwing a cap or something with your fingers and to move your hand up when you start and then move your hand down to catch it.... think of following the pen as it goes up then pushing down to catch it.

i love this trick. it takes A LOT of practice to master it it to point of doing it from a PD start, but a great way to practice is to start with a TA rev, catch it normally, and used the pens momentum, and switch to a PD position. this motion gives the pd ta the momentum and the opportune starting positon. then perform the pd TA with a middle finger push. some other points you need to know: -fingers above* the pushing finger (* i.e. middle finger push, index finger is "on top") should be raised for pen to spin under -catch as one would for a cobra bite. Good Luck guys!

When starting it you have to move your hand up fast, when about half of the rotation move your hand down very fast. Don't push the pen too hard, the gravity will do the rest just like with the anti-gravity.
