any of u guys ever taken this ??? anyways amc is this weird math test that is extremely hard >_< this year ima take it in november if 3 ppl in my class can get 75% and above every student in my class gets $100 and my teacher gets $500 this is important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i plan on using this money if i can pass to buy a lot of pen mods :D ppl plx tell me any tips u hav and help me get my money!!!!!!!!!! ill post sum sample probs later ;)

You get money...for getting a C or better on a test...Not just you but everyone in the class...wtf? People at my school take that test but they get nothing more than the certificate and joy of passing the test and of course the ability to compete at the national ARML level I believe.

It's not that hard. It's really is just a bunch of harder SAT math problems. Or 4-5 level difficulty Elite test questions (hagwon ftw). -

practice, try past papers/problems, get advice from people who have done it before - the 'normal' preparation for any exam? xD isn't 75% mark in this test superrr hard to get? (coming from someone who's done maths olympiad kinda stuff in australia, sounds like an AMC (australian mathematics competition, run by westpac bank), except with all questions at last section difficulty (hardest section))

its actually quite difficult and nothing that you can really study for. not so much of SAT style questions but they need some serious brain-wrecking and serious thinking. -

AMC is the American one or Australian one? IMO American one is much easier :) But yep like springfield said you can't really study for it, the things tested are probably out of your syllabus, at least for Singaporeans :)

Except that it's probably not that hard, anyone who thinks math is hard is retarded. The problems solve themselves, that's the way math works.
