What was your first trick and how long did it take you to learn it? I first trick was the sonic and it took ma about a week. It takes me a while to learn tricks.

I'm not kidding here, but it wasn't thumb around. It was a random combo that my friend made up. Pass TF1-12 -> Pass 12-23 -> (pen kinda drops a bit) then... Neosonic 23-TF12. This is done starting from writing position. This took me a few weeks. 3 weeks I think. Then it was thumb around.

My first trick was the thumbaround and it took me about 3-4 days to learn it. By then I was able to do it in about 90% of the cases, which seemed pretty good to me ;)

If you count Fingerpass, I got the idea almost immediately. I am not sure which one came first between Sonic, Charge Reverse 12 or TA. I think it was Sonic, took me around 2-3 days. TA took me kinda long though, a week or two?

Fingerless index around reverse (on accident). This was before I even knew what pen spinning was. I started doing it with a fork a lot and called it a fork trick...

My first trick was the charge :P. I accidentally did it all the time in fourth grade. That was back then before I knew how much more in-depth pen spinning was :P

Thumbaround, a few seconds..... i was 8 or 9 then, my hand did not do the so called "twisting motion", so succeeded in 2 or 3 tries =D had a TA master taught me =P

For me it was the thumbaround and it took me about 2 weeks until I could do it. I'm a slow learner. I've already been trying to master the thumbaround reverse for a week and haven't gotten anywhere yet.

So long ago, at least 10 years now, so I don't remember anything aside from the thousands of times I dropped my [mechanical] pencil in class trying to learn the Thumbaround and how many times the girls in the class would yell at me... >_< Now I never drop it on a Thumbaround, though I mostly stick with Thumbspins, since the 1 revolution just feels weird to me now.. :P

after i taught my sister, she did it 2 times in a row 1st try with a random pencil (~ 10cm long) wtf gg, too bad she's not interested in PS at all or she'll be prodigy of levels never seen in history... -
