hi guys =D A few years ago, a french spinner called phlogistique had invented a useful notation for the complex fingerslots such as "1234". Nevertheless, his notation had some issues that I tried to resolve in this new version, which Banz called the "premises of the release candidade version of the nomenclature". Oh yeah. This notation works for almost every slot in 1p1h =) Here is an instance of slot : 13.42 The point means the separation between 1 and 3 on one side, 2 and 4 on the other. But even with this information, we can imagine another way to get that slot : That's why the order of the fingers is very important ; They have to be written in the wise of a fingerpass : Here you can read : "13.42" How to know where the slot begins ? - The slot should always be separated into two sides (no "3.42.1") - It is preferable that the first side contain the littlest finger (P < T < 1 < 2 < 3 < 4) Other examples Flush sonic : 23 -> 21.34 -> 14 -> 13.42 -> 23 Swuck : 23 -> 2P.3 -> P3 Swing : 11.22 -> * -> 11.22 Sonic : 23 -> 12.3 -> 13 -> 1.23 -> 12 Inverse Sonic : 23 -> 21.3 -> 13 -> 1.32 -> 12 If you like this notation, I will add some stuff and details that I have already written on the FPSB =) see you guys
(The thread's name was just chosen to appeal people ^^)

I found this notation interesting very when I read it in FPSB, I think this can be an important part of a future finger positioning notation, where also the existing phalanx notation and an oficialization of fingercrossing notation could be added.

Yea I agree with what Freeman said. This will be very important in the future with the phalanx naming and the fingercrossing. Very cool stuff!

Isn't the fingercrossing notation official ?

I think we officialized it in the RD but never showed an official article to the world. I'll work with Lindor and whoever wants from the Laboratoire or RD to make an official fingercrossing notation article, maybe adapting it to a more concise way using a shortened modifier instead of "cross" and "uncross".
