You don't. You're supposed to replace the blade on X-Acto knifes...

You spelt shape wrong but, as exacto knife are made of metal I would suggest you use a vice to bend it in the way that you'd like. In all seriousness, just replace it.

Yes replacing it would be best :) Wow I have about 9 or 10 blades so I don't have to worry about that xD

exacto blades are disposable, just go to a local arts and crafts store and get new ones.

I go through blades all the time, don't risk having to use a dull blade, just use a new one. Especially when i'm heat cutting with the blade it's pretty much a 1 time use.

im usually so tight on money i just dont care if the blade goes dull, since it still works if u press the blade harder on the grip still does clean cuts IMO.. but i did change my blade once (in fact purchasing a new xacto cuz i lost my previous one) and brand new blade feels like infinite climax :P i wouldnt bother going thru sharpening the blade.. it will go dull again before u even notice.. Frog~

speaking of the blades, all brands and/or brandless uses the same one right? well, at least that's the subtle information i got when reading the previous posts

The brand doesn't matter, it's the size of the blade where it's held that matters. I get mine at a craft store for $2 for 10 blades. -

I don't know about exactos, but I use cutters with blades like these: When the tip gets blunt, just snap it off. And the cutter I got came with 3 spare blades, all for about $2.
