    I like the mix of English and the other language. Wait do you guys speak Tagalog or Filipino? I've kind of always wondered that. Edit: Isn't there something to do with Spanish too?

    we speak Filipino(we still call it Tagalog because most of the words are the same), though the official language prior to 1986 is Tagalog. Its difference is some English words have different translations in Filipino, different in Tagalog too, and Tagalog is deep while Filipino is more casual. I don't remember words which have different translations in Filipino & Tagalog because most of the time, like most Filipinos, we mix English + Filipino. The Spanish thing is that some Filipino/Tagalog words are based on Spanish like: window=ventana=bintana in Filipino though most of the Spanish words we got are only curses like hijo di puta, hijo di bastardo, tonto, but usually only Spanish-Filipino parents use those(like those portrayed in Filipino action movies;the Dons/Mafia leaders), and some priests when they're mad. Some Filipino curses are based on Spanish though like the most famous "putangina mo" which is often understood and translated as "motherfucker" but the real meaning is "your mom is a slut/whore" because it's a combination of "puta ang ina mo" which is the said translation "your mom is a slut/whore"
