Item(s) you will need: Household Borax, Clorox Bleach, and water. Instructions: Grab a bowl, fill it with water. Add 2 tablespoons of borax, 1 tablespoon of bleach. Stir it. Put your grips in it. Wait over night.. And WHA-LAH! Your grips are clean.

Borax doesn't create a polymer with bleach, what are you talking about. Though this is just mixing cleaning products with water, of course it'll clean the grip. That's what it's made for. Also it's probably the water that's removing the dust particles.

It's not just dust particles. The yellowing of Dr. Grips and airfit grips are from staining. Which is VERY hard to remove. Search in your laundry room, you'll probably find borax :D

How about the decolouring of white grips?

I don't know. But I found out how to color white grips. Just get some water and a lot of high concentrated food coloring. Then let it sit for a while. I've only tried it with white sailor grips. I'm trying a lot of things with coloration and discoloration of grips right now. Some have been successful, some not.
