i went to every possible pen selling store in my town for search of dr. grip pens and all i found was this >>> the grip looks normal but tips look very weird. does any one every buy/use this pen for modding?

I'd like to mention how much I love these pencils. If you have the shaker MP I would just keep it and use it as my main writing utensil. But yes the parts are really nice to use, (a bit expensive). You can double tip, use the outer grip, use the inner grip, use the metal barrel inside the pencil and use the MP barrel to make MP mods, very useful. :)

The small tit it fits in RSVP caps. And this pencil is the only Dr.Grip model that is actually good to use; All the other ones sucks and should only be harvested for its parts EDIT: ninja'd

the main reason why people use this pen is for the waterfall mod. Its grip is the original mod for a Waterfall mod as Cloud mentioned before.

Wrong. The original grip used for waterfall is the japanese g-spec, this is the american version. the tips are hard to use imo

but they are exactly the same arent they? its not like jap dr grip and american dr grip. i have both a g spec and a cog same grip, same tip. only difference i see is the color of the barrel. so if you want to get technical, then no its not the actual grip. but thats like saying using the new supertips is subbing parts if the mod was made with old supertips.

you ever take the grip off of a COG? its a smaller version of a dr grip grip covering a smaller , colored grip.

If im not wrong, the jap gspec's grip is actually thick, not thin like the american one o_O and when you look at the jap gspec, the grip area..its not rounded like the rest

Nope, look at the grip, they're rounded and don't have the lines..but i might be wrong about the jap g-spec grip thickness tho, i've seen it live but never personally took it apart. But I'm very sure that there one i posted is the japanese one.

Alvaris, your g-spec is one of those special edition g-specs sold in Japan. The outside grip is the same as the one Cloud posted, it's just the inside grip that's different.

35. Alvaris
Date: Fri, Jul 8 2011 07:50:43

Oh okay, but they're not only sold in Japan btw. I've seen them here in malaysia and singapore as well iirc.

I got 2 japanese CL dr. grips,(MP) from jetpens for writing. anyone else get those? the grips are actually a bit cloudy, not the clear ones for mods like waterfall.

I've actually found a Dr. Grip Shaker Ltd. at a Target, but it was called Target Greatland. Probably an "upgraded" version. I didn't buy it, forgot to bring money. thats what they look like.
