Mom hates it. Dad hates it. Sister hates it. My family hates spinning. They try to discourage me sometimes by telling me that im not getting any better because i still drop the pen. Then when im spinning across the room, theyll say "KYLE STOP DOING THAT ITS SO ANNOYING." I dont understand how its annoying, since i dont drop it that much, i never hit them with the pen, and im not spinning right in their faces. I wish they liked it =/

at 1st . my mom and dad also hate . but after a few month .. i said , parent should support what their son's interest .. after that my mom and my aunt support me and sometime buy me a mod .. :)

My mum HATES it ("Stop twirling that pen", "break that habit", etc.) and dad doesn't mind it, he thinks its kinda amazing. When it comes to buying pens, I get dad to take me to the shop to get something else and pick up some pens on the way. My pens hide in my pencil case, my pocket or in this area of my desk mum never checks. It's like a sliding tray kinda thing (not a drawer). tno

I showed my parents a spinning video and they thought it was cool. They don't seem to say anything when I spin around them so I think they're fine with it.

I talked about pen spinning for the first time to my mum about a few weeks ago. And she explains to me that pen spinning isn't just randomly flicking a pen or anything. And she goes on how there's styles and rhythm etc.. She didn't know how good I was at spinning, nonetheless she hasn't even seen me spun before, so she assumed I was a noob. Then she goes on about how there's world tournaments and stuff for pen spinning. And in my head, I think.. "Woah, how does she know? Never knew my whole family had passion about pen spinning!"

My mom kind of gets annoyed if I drop it a lot, but otherwise not really a big hater of pen spinning. I think my dad has an inner dislike for it, but he never really says anything. My sis thinks it's pretty cool though.

Whole family hates it because it's "annoying". Seriously, if you don't like looking at me spinning a pen turn away. My stepdad threw my emboss mod and my original Steel Comssa original out of the window. Literally just laughed as I had to go outside to retrieve them.

when my dad was younger, he was in a band. He was the drummmer. So he knew how to spin a drumstick. But not that long after i started to ps, he went ape shit on me! he says its extreamly aggitating and he just hates it, and other stuff happenes..... my mum.....gets pissed,. yeah :(

My parents and my whole family loves it when I spin. They seem to be supporting me. At first they were like "What's that lol". Now because I've been on TV for several times, and being the World Cup and stuff, they're like proud of me of what I've achieved till now. I was like "Cool". But now, nah, I'm stopping now for a while lol.

My mom doesn't care and my dad likes it, except he tells me not to do it during a test because I might drop my pen, causing me to have to pick it up and lost precious time to check my work. Also my classmate was parts of a State Math Counts competition and his entire group ALMOST got a perfect score, but on the question: find the interior angle of a hexagon, he accidentally found the SUM of interior angles, and then finished, and then spent the last 10 minutes he had left doing a charge...only guy in the entire group to get anything wrong

My parents don't mind. Dad even tried learning Charge, but he gave up since "his fingers were too stiff". Mom sometimes complains that I have too many pens/spend a lot of money on them, but she lets me do what I want.... I guess she thinks it has something to do with my pen obsession that started around pre-school (had a toolbox full of pens and pencils that time~). I don't think they see it as problem at all, as long as it doesn't mess with my studies. They even let me buy stuff on PenWish and Pendolsa because I maintained my scholarship~

My mom doesn't care most of the time, but she told me to stop because it made her dizzy one time. My dad doesn't seem to be annoyed by it either. As for my sister, she encourages it. My family sees it as a unique hobby for me to have (but in reality, they really just don't want me to go back to playing video games for 4-5 hours straight everyday).

I avoid any noise from dropping by spinning on top of my legs. In class, I push my chair back so I can spin on top of my legs again. I also do tricks under my desk sometimes and watch the teacher when she's talking to avoid trouble.

Spin on your lap / on top of books / a thick stack of paper in class. It minimises the noise. And...try not to do tricks you're not very confident of. It's one thing for the teacher to see you pick up a pen from your desk, but constantly going over to somewhere else in the room to retrieve it is another. ^^

Apologies if this thread exsits. Do your parents know that you pen spin? What do they think of it? For me my mother hates the fact that i pen spin. She thinks it's immature and i totally disagree with her. I have to hide my pen mods because i'm scared that if she finds it, she'll throw them away.

My mother hates it when i drop my mods,1 drop = 1 smack on the back.She thinks pen spinning is a waste of time.Of course i disagree with her. But my dad is supportive of my hobby. :) He hopes i will know how to use both hands to pen spin/ambidextrous.

they are supportive when i spin but they don't support me buying mods. but after they see me on TV interview, they support me to buy mod sometimes. my other family members are interested with what i'm doing. but since describing penspinning is a bit hard then i just told them i did that for practing finger dexterity for magic tricks

My dad doesn't really care, but he thinks that with all the time I spend on it I could be doing things way more productive (probably true, but I mostly spin while on the computer, so...). My mother on the other hand... hates it. She thinks it's dumb, a waste of time and she really doesn't want me spending money on it. She tried to make me stop but like they say... My dad tries to learn it haha, except i let him spin my penwish Typhoon MSXA and he broke the tip off including the comssa cap top :( anyway my mom buys me mods and parts sometimes,.. shes gonna order me 12 comssas this week :) so yeah my parents just think its cool and at least im not playing videogames.. But on my first day i took apart a bunch of RSVPs and my dad got mad but now he sees and says im good for 2 1/2 months and when his friends come over he has me show them and one time @czar was over and he said "theyre like little china-men in there go look" one time he did get mad over me spending so much money on it though and said i only needed 1 or 2 mods then i let him feel the difference between all my mods so he doesnt mind now but neither of them know im approaching $400 already in just under 3 months :P

Not too sure what my parents think about penspinning, I feel they have mixed feelings ie its aesthetically pleasing but such a waste of time. My sister asked me on my FB wall:
