I didn't really want to organize this, but I'll put that aside for the sake of seeing one happen. Sorry if it seems like I didn't have faith in everyone else organizing one but let's not risk skipping another years gathering; plus this looks promising as there seems to be quite some interest this year. 1) I have put up a poll where names are revealed so we can easily figure out when people are available. You CAN choose more than one choice, and let's see how it works for Saturday before we consider Sunday or other days of the week. 2) Location will be Manhattan as it always is, and meeting will begin at Penn station probably (further details of the day will be figured out once we establish a date). 3) I may or may not attend so I would like 1-2 people to help co-organize this with me. You will be responsible for gathering phone numbers and calling late or lost attendees to ensure the safety and participation of everyone who signed up. So just post here or PM me about that. So I would like all interested people to vote on the poll and post any other details/suggestions in the thread (ex. Exact time, transportation issues, location issues, etc...). If people have worrying parents, you may have them speak to me or the co-organizers about their concerns at the gathering. Let's get this thing going guys!!

Yeah.. probs.... @Nicetricks I suggest those who are under 16 to perhaps ask their parents to drive them to the city and meet everyone else to see that we are not some sketchy old men. I suggest those who are from out of state to understand if your parents do not wish for you to go to the city as it is indeed a big place and though we may not be dangerous, there are sometimes dangerous people out there if you're not careful. And finally, if you cannot convince your parents to let you go...well, that's the end of that. But if you can convince your parents to let you go, be completely sure about the date, your attendance, and your means of transportation. ---If I have mentioned your name above, it is because I have seen you post interest in attending elsewhere or seem to live somewhat nearby. If you do not live nearby but would still like to attend because you will be in the area around that month, feel free to vote in the poll and perhaps we will try harder to work around that date. It is not everyday that we have a visiting pen spinner lol, but you must be 100% sure that you will be attending before we have everyone change their plans for you, and you do not even end up showing (though, we will most likely not get a visiting pen spinner lol...)--- -

I don't want there to be a date decided and have everyone say, "oh, maybe i can go..i'll see the day of..." and then have one person show up. This has happened before unfortunately... Loanshark's traveled to NYC from Connecticut and not a single other person showed up, myself included unfortunately. I went with Xero and Huroni one other time, and barely anyone else who said they were gonna go showed up either. I need people to have certainty; not right now, but take some time and decide on a date with your parents if they do let you go and come back here and tell us when you can 'definitely' go. If there's nobody who's certain about if they can go or not on a certain date, then a gathering simply won't happen.

i wanted to have a few specific dates to try out first, if this fails (which it looks like it will) i'll just open another poll with august dates and if people prefer weekdays, that's possible too, but some people just have stuff to do on weekdays still so i figured i might as well be safe and go for a weekend edit: i'll leave poll up for a day, then i'll add august probably

It's actually in NJ but 30 mins drive from NY isn't bad here's the site (http://mitsuwanj.com/en/) the bookstore is like right next to that building)

Oh yah, I've been there, awesome place, I like it a lot :D!! but unfortunately, many might not have cars/rides to go all the way into NJ let's stick with just putting it in manhattan, it's a pretty central location

What the fuck... Well I just quit my job and I'm leaving on the 9th so I'm down for any day between now and then. -Oh BTW, the mitsuwa place in Edgewater that Nice mentioned has the best ramen in NJ. Not exaggerating either. Type best ramen in NJ... Santouka will be the first result. Went there last week.

It ends whenever you want it to lol..youre free to leave whenever you want to or need to. I sugguest you to start coming at 10:30-11am and leave at 3:30-4pm if you take the train. Generally we end at 4-5pm anyway, but if anyone wants to we can get dinner.

Uh... how much were you expecting lol? If you go, that makes 5 which I say is not too bad at all. NYC gatherings dont' usually get that big due to the lack of people in NYC, and even more so, the lack of ability for people to show up. Sometimes we plan a 10-12 people gathering..and less than half shows up... I think 4 people showed up one time. The other 6ish people told us they couldn't go the night before or the day of. If we can get 5 people to go, that's really not too bad at all. We'll never get a large gathering like socal gatherings (~40people that time i went x.x) -
