So @Riley and @thenoodler and I are starting a club in highschool and we were wondering if there were any other pen spinning clubs in highschools preferably in California. I was thinking about maybe having competitions because colleges love that kind of stuff and we get praised for having spirit and all that good stuff, so good for our college applications. So just wondering if there are any other clubs, and if you are interested you can even create a pen spinning club in the following fall during the next school year and we can collaborate with each other and do fun stuff. Also any ideas for what to do in the club? What we have so far: Teaching tricks (having like workshop stuff?) penmodding (group penwish orders maybe) penspinning tshirts competitions collab together bake sale with cookies shaped like pens? LOL

@DrakeOhMeteor007, we're just starting it as we are incoming freshman, but we need six to start the club. we have six i think, and we're gonna really make the club. So maybe we can have like club battles or something over youtube. But I hope the club members would stay dedicated and not ditch. So what are you guys doing in your club?

Burlingame High School. @Sam If penspinning ain't big enough, we could add rubik's cube, etc.

I would LOVE to be able to have a club, problem is, i don't think there will be many actually dedicated spinners, and me and one other person are the only spinners in the entire school district :(

hahah i wish there is only one other person in my entire school who spins

I (kind of) am the leader of my pen spinning club, even though it is extremely small with the lack of people. At around, eh, 3-5 DEDICATED pen spinners (at least from my point of view). Though I am in 7th grade, in middle school.

What's the process of making a club like? and where do you have it?

  27. Sam
    Date: Tue, May 31 2011 04:30:32

@FusionX the process is really simple. just go to your principal/counselor ask them if you can make a club. they'll ask what. dont say penspinning rite away cuz they'll think its lame. say its like a passion that you are passionate about. lol and tell them its an art, etc. make it sound respectable. then you have to have a teacher that will "supervise" it. just get the coolest teacher in your school, but try to get the teacher before asking to make the club. so you can tell the principal/counselor that a teacher is willing to supervise it. then thats basically it. you become president and make stuf fup

I wouldn't mind making a penspinning club at my school.... I guess me and the other few PSers I know could teach others tricks and share new mods, etc. I'm not sure if a teacher would want to supervise though.... but it sounds like a good idea. tno

I'm co-creating a club with my friend @ligtningpen, and we're both sophomores. Don't think anyone's gonna want to join, though XD

What would a club like this do on a daily basis? If someone says "learning tricks" then how do I convince people to join? If nobody answers then I may just spin at the talent show with a few friends.
