Regular Pen Discussion / Favourite Grips for spinning and why?

Personally I love Dr. Grip Grips because they are so smooth and easy to work with when spinning or writing. Also even though they dirty easy, they're pretty easy to clean unlikes sailors and anyballs.

This is a tough choice, but I think i'd go with either Dr. Grip Shaker grip or Dr. Grip G-SPEC grip, when used appropriately (Like on KTs, the gspec on a waterfall, jap. shaker grip on comssa caps, etc.) It's very smooth, but also grippy, and good for wipers in my opinion.

Dr. Grip hands-down Airfit - with air pockets, cleaning can be a chore. Plus, when the outer grip gets vdirty, the feel changes. Sailors - feel is not that nice, IMO. :/

anyballs, soft, cheap, convenient and nice (though they lose their shape easily). really good for wipers imo. tornado grip (perfect softness OMFG) love them more than dr grip. HATE: Sailors. feel sucks

Dr Grip shaker ftw. Anyballs are distant 2nd because I've just been writing with one for so long so now the grip is just annoying sometimes..

i dont use the pen that has the Clear tornado grip but it has a nice feel with the grooves :) Fav grip that IVE tried would be this $20 pen that has the most squishy grip eva !

Airblanc on HGG combination, like in Saizen's mod. Very squishy, smooth and grippy, but not sticky. Wiper combos are a joy with it. Looks reasonably good too. Unfortunately, hard to come by and incredibly difficult to "build".

I like sailors, they don't feel nice, but they give me the right amount of gripyness, so they work really well. (I am just a KT whore :P)

I still love Anyball grips. They are grippy enough without being too grippy. They look (and fit) well on all of the mods that I care to use them on. If the Dr. Grip was not so thick, I'd have more use for it.

@sketching: Airblanc grip has a similar feel to dr. grip, but it's a lot thinner i like airblanc grips although i can't find too many mods that use them (i can only think of saizen and nachoaddict's mod), and gspec grips dr. grip grips/airfit grips are good too for me

i dont do a lot of wipers so it doesnt matter how the grip feels but how heavy and how it looks. clear grips are nice like the dr.grip grip and airfit grip.

I like anyball and rsvp grips because they're easy to cut and come in lots of different colors, and they're cheap. Dr. grip grips are great too cuz they add weight and are translucent

Pilot G2 grips, they're great for infinities. My favorite part of it is the bottom, the 'whole' part, the one without all the lines, using that bottom part of the grip makes infinity so much easier

Try Dr. grips. They will make the g2's feel almost slick.

Yeah for me I can't even use G2 grips on mods anymore unless its just for an accent color. For me though my favorite grips are Dr. Grip, Anyball, and HGG. I'm pretty sure that hggs have some of the nicest tip feeling for infinities for me but for like holding the pen on the end without doing wipers I think that I prefer the Dr. Grip because it gives you a chunky place for you to hold onto and Dr. Grips are like stick almost so it makes the pen just roll with you which I enjoy.

White Dr. Grip Grips are super awesome. I think they look cooler than the normal clear ones as well :p I think that airfit grips are nice as they are quite unique, but they do attract dust a lot (if I drop one on my carpet I'm like :( )

Black HGG grips (does color really make a difference? cuz my pastel pink doesnt feel the same as black...) I personally dislike Dr.Grips/Airfits/Tornados cuz they just "glue" to ur fingers... smoother grips like G2, HGG, DX is easier for me to do smooth wipers. PrinceXD

1) alpha gel (not really good for mods though, hard to get and expensive, but they feel oh so good) 2) metallic gel/needlepoint 3) dr grip they're all good, just that alpha gel is like hella good, needlepoint is also hella good, and dr grips are pretty good

I'm new, but I use HGGs because the grips are good and, as a side note, so are the tips, for only 1 AUD. I'm pretty much broke, and they're super common as well (officeworks may as well give them away they have so many) . They also work well on my BICtory. tno

Does anybody ever use the grips you can buy in a package? The ones Ihave are similar to a Dr. Grip, except way cheaper (Think like $2 for 20). It seems to have a good weight, but IDK 'cuz Im a beginner

It depends. If you like it, you can use it. It may not work in some cases, like a flying panda or waterfall mod. I have sponge grips that I use for a pencil mod BUT they don't quite have the same quality "feel" you get from good grips. -

HGG grips are awesome. I also like Dr. Grip grips, but I HATE HATE HATE how they get dusty SO easily, so everytime I drop my Dr. Crayola (a personal mod), I need to make a mad dash to the nearest sink to clean the dusty grips :angryfire: But otherwise, Dr. Grip grips and HGG grips are the best. I'm getting a couple Airfits for Christmas to make a Buster, and I'm expecting the Airfit grips to be a heavier version of Dr. Grip grips.
