Now, my exam's on November, and I can't make myself pick up that book and start studying. If I don't buck up I'll probably end up sweeping the road or something. How do you guys push yourselves to study? I lost all motivation. And c'mon, please, some serious and helpful replies :)

My motivation was always the national scholarships (JPA). If you are mature enough to care about your future you will drive yourself to study.

Hai loonwern. Yes, if I do not care, I wouldn't have posted this thread. I was asking for specific techniques when studying though.

Don't do huge sessions (like hours long). Break it up into smaller blocks. When you start to feel like none of it is sinking in, take a break.

Do something until you feel like working. It works for me.

There are some people who won't feel like working forever. That is why they rot in hell.

Twine, I did Bio today with couple of breaks at intervals. Actually absorbed better. You always give good advices :3 Biji, yeah well, maybe that's why I'm reasonably good at Chem :) Raccoon, I do that sometimes :)

Maybe once he realizes that school isn't the world then he'll calm down. -

My motivation comes from remembering the horrible feeling after doing badly on a test.

1 - Get like a pack of gummy bears or whatever candy you like. 2 - Put a candy between every 2 pages 3 - Done You will keep reading to get to the next piece of candy.

This is seriously one of the best ideas I've ever heard. What I do though, is get out of my house so that I don't get distracted by my computer, and whatnot. I go to this study center at my school, or the library. Then I just work. Listen to music, and do my work. Not much else to it. -

There's nothing preventing you from just scooping up all of the gummies at once. -

I have no motivation. I need to get shit off of my mind when I study, and free myself from distractions. My solution? I go to Starbucks for a good 6-7 hours. And Im not kididng. I get some shit done, a lot, really.
