That's around my average. My record is 7:11 but that was when I was REALLY fit haha xD -

PR is 5:30, run as a sophomore in high school atm though i'd probably barely make it under 7 minutes lol. haven't been running since cross country ended xD I've done 2.1 miles in 12:06 though (average 5:45 per mile) :D my 3-mile pace is farrrrr slower though :/ and @hoiboy i think you mean your mile time went UP to 7:30?

6:28 was the last mile time i got in 9th grade. I ran crosscountry for my school so it was kinda easy for me.. Now I probably couldnt get a 7 minute mile.

Best was 5:10, and to me, not bad for a 5' 4'' asian... my friend (Also asian)'s best mile was 4:05 :jawdrop: That was in 7th grade.

I currently hold a 4:51 mile. I run Varsity Indoor Track, Cross Country, Outdoor Track, and just for fun in the summer, and am in 8th grade. Its pretty good for a 5'1 inch whiteboy =]

Couple of things: 1. "5-6 Minutes" isnt an average, its a range. Not to mention, that range is EXTREMELY broad, and does not provide a precise indication of how fast you usually are. A range of say, 10 seconds, provides a much better idea of how fast you are. 2. "How are you guys that slow?" i understand where you're coming from, but still, ignorant -

^ of course. thats what xc/track people do on meet days: eat lunch at brunch/morning break/wtv its called at any school. you dont want to be running when you can feel your stomach churning and stuff sloshing around, no are fun
