well, im new to spinning, there's little skill to it and i perfected the basics. ive mastered my thumb around and finger pass. my fave mod has to be the buster cyl or the d.r kt, either one. im currently working on a bakfall->bakriser combo. any tips to help me get better?

Welcome to UPSB! That's pretty good if you can do the bakfall in 2 weeks, but I guess you should learn the rest of the fundamentals and the reverses and please, don't use the buster cyl at only 2 weeks D: you'll destroy your hands. You should use a lighter mod like a MX or BICtory

don't learn backfall until you can create simple combos cleanly while incorporating simple tricks such as the rest of the fundamentals and a couple hybrids like twisted sonic.

Good game, hands. And why did you just start learning bakfall and bakrise right off the bat!?!? Learn fundamentals and twisted/warped sonic variations and if you did learn those and a few other great! But STOP USING BUSTERS AND KTs!@#!@#!#

I dont see whats so bad about a buster, i mean i thinks its okay to use as long as you mastered the fundamentals before hand. o.o

You're doing it wrong. You should start with symmetrical baks and swivels. But srsly, stick to fundamentals for a least a month or two. As for your favorite mods, I have nothing else to say *mumbles about newbs and heavy mods*

One advice : PLEASE STOP SPINNING HEAVY MODS until you mastered the fundamentals. USE LIGHTER MODS

Uhh did o hear don't use busters till u master the fundamentals? Okay, let's say you can do all the fundamentals, and now ur using a buster, that's still a dumb idea Dont use this stick until ur pre-decent

Why do I get the feeling term the "mastered" is just so you can make yourself look more impressive? but yeah try to learn other tricks and combos and making them smoother along with developing your style, bakfall = not a good idea at your level.

You're became "epic" very fast because you used heavy mods. Learn reverses of fundamentals, and basic trick variations of twisted sonic, and arounds. good luck, and welcome to UPSB.

great u somehow "mastered" the fundamentals with a buster. now go do it on MX or even a DC Comssa. Mastered? I doubt it. PrinceXD P.S. Welcome to UPSB.

Typical thought. Yes, there's momentum, there's length, but there's also side effects. Just because something is heavy doesn't mean it's good for beginners. Trust me, I started out with a normal pen :) use Buster CYLs and KTs if you have already mastered tricks using lighter mods such as MX and Comssas. Another advantage if you take my advice is that you will have greater control and also your pen mods' tips will not wear out faster. P.S. Spinnerpeem did not start his PSing career with a Buster CYL.

Welcome to upsb ^^ :welcome: P.S. Before you learn bakriser and bakfall, learn some more tricks, like twisted and warped sonic variations, arounds, shadows, wipers, etc. Those'll help you more. And also, spin a lighter mod, heavy mods like KTs and Busters are a BIT (alotta bit) heavy for only 2 weeks O.o

Hi, welcome to UPSB. I'm also new, I started 3 weeks ago. I guess people say the heavy mods are not good for beginners, but it's actually up to you. I spin an mx though, :) :p

@EpicSpinner91 Okay, okay, record yourself doing ALL of the tricks you know, and we'll see if you're really "epic" and smooth. >___> Post it on this thread, I seriously wanna see it.

I don't like you. People who come on a PS'ing forum and say there is little skill to it piss me off. You lack respect and I am disgraced that you have the Union Jack in your country's flag.

um i've been spinning for 4 months and I learned all the fundamentals along with a quite a few of their variations plus a couple of intermediate tricks and some of their variations and i still got much to learn, I dont see how in 2 weeks anyone could come close to being epic, sounds more like a an EPIC fail to me

IMO if he wants to prove that he can really spin smooth he should just post a video of him spinning a buster.... I think that everyone now wants busters because of peem or something. The reason heavy mods are so popular is because they give you control lighter mods don't , leading the noobs to think that heavy mods are pro :/

IMO its the exact opposite, I believe that heavier mods are harder to control then lighter mods especially for beginners becuase heavier mods tend to create more momentum and beginenrs cant control it. Ive been spinning for 4 years and I dont use that much heavy mods. My main mod is a waterfall right now. @EpicSpinner91 go ahead and use a buster, dont take our advice. Its you thats going to regret it not us.

def learn fundamentals first....then move on. AND NO BUSTER YET

  43. Dris
    Date: Wed, Aug 24 2011 03:41:55

I'm pretty new. 2-3 months. Personally, I find waterfall weight a good weight for me. But seriously, even now, I wouldn't recommend using a buster so early. Got the fundamentals down? Ok, after that I don't give a shit how you go, if you wanna *buster*, go right ahead. I think a lighter mod would be better though. Go for a lighter mod, try a waterfall or something. If you think you're all that with a buster...switch to a light pen and see what happens. Anyways, welcome.
