Hi, Recently there has been some suspicious activity going on in my paypal account. I had an unauthorized payment of $200 dollars to a website called mega uploads. I have filed a dispute with paypal and they are investigating it now. Also I recieved a suspricious email saying I had paid for a premium account. It came with an activation code;however, the email was sent to two emails. That makes me suspicious that this is a fraud.I just wanted to ask if you ever had any unauthorized payments with you paypal account, and was it resolved? Thanks, Vortechs

either one of your friend knows your password, or you got keylogged by a hacker and has been using your paypal account

Yes most likely a key logger, google how to get rid of them and stay in contact with paypal to get your money back.

At least they tried to stay subtle, who would think a $200 payment was suspicious?

bought $200 of premium accounts on megauploads? wow... at least should have gotten fileserve or filesonic, they seem to popular these days+

I think it was a keylogger btw: it was a life time membership to megauploads In paypal's buyer protection policy it states that it does not cover digital goods and paypal will favor the seller more than the buyer.

Dood, thats why i only buy my pens via airmail. Paypal is not as secure as ppl think. @Vortechs , just sell them to people after recieving money via airmail. You can still sell pens

perhaps you have stumbled upon some websites that subtly installed keyloggers? That's the only thing that seems plausible. Have you been doing credit card transactions related to your paypal or something? O.o Or perhaps you accessed your paypal in a public computer and forgot to log-out (wut :O)

Maybe a cookiegrabber if you save your pw on your computer? Thats also quite possible.

You're dumb. It's like this. You write your PayPal info on a piece of paper and put it on your table. I enter your room, look at your info and use it to take 500$ out of your PayPal. Is PayPal unsafe? No but you're an idiot for not locking away your info.

@neXus dude, your the dumb idiot. If you read my posts you would have known that it was a keylogger virus. Not carelessness. I do lock my info away you idiot. lol peninja.

Who buys porn, nowadays? Anyway, there's been this series of information that's been hacked lately. Banks, emails, Collegeboard.com, etcetc. My mom had 600 dollars withdrawn from her account. She didnt take it out, nor did my father. Fucked up shit.

To be safe and not get keyloggers I would: 1.) Get a good anti virus program. A really good free one is Malwarebytes. Try to run it once a week, it's pretty quick, and will delete the viruses, etc, with your consent. 2.) Get Firefox, and get the add-ons "WOT" and "Adblock Plus". WOT tells if a site is trustworthy. Adblock Plus will block ALL ads. 3.) Change all your passwords like once a month.

First of all I wasn't even fucking talking to you (which is indicated by me quoting drgripable). Second of all read what you said and think about it. I said that PayPal is safe. The only thing that makes using PayPal unsafe is when someone does not know how to keep their computer protected from key-loggers.
