Regular Pen Discussion / Favorite Pencils?

Date: Mon, Jun 28 2010 04:31:56
PSing is all about pens, but what about those who use pencils for drawing, writing, etc?
I thought this should be separate thread, solely because we might discuss some stuff (like drafting pencils for drawing, etc) We had one like this on v3, but it contained both pens and pencils =P
To start it off... >>> Pentel Smash
It's one of the most comfortable drafting pencils I've had. It has perfect weight, a great eraser, fluid shape, and awesome grip.
>>> Alpha Gel slim
Well, I like slim pencils. Plus it's an alpha gel... why not?
then Jap Dr. Grip KuruToga .5 is my pref. in lead (pics below)

I draw and stuff, and I have math/science classes that need precise drawing, graphing, etc. lol or I would epicly fail. (not rly but...) If you ever need a good pencil that's readily available, you could try "pentel sharps." They're everywhere. Gripmatics are ok, they're pretty normal =/ Dr. Grips are awesome, but I need them to finish my kt's (4 more kt's to go) T_T pretty much every pencil I own now... I use the ones towards the bottom a lot more than the ones on the top. alpha gel slim just plain awesome, get one! (I have two =3) pentel smash It's only good if you like writing/drawing a whole lot.

Are Just Meets different from normal Shakers? Since the only difference would be the laquered wood surface... Also, Alpha Gels look reaally nice, but 12$ seems a bit pricy if you don't draw a lot (and need to have them shipped overseas...).

For Just Meets- I don't think so. Just the wieght, some accents, and the metal parts are all different. However, the shape and pencil is prett much the same. Alpha gels are awesome, especially the slim. If you trade with a Jap person, you can probably give $10-$12 rsvps for one. That's how I got my .5 slim and a couple of M&M's. They don't sell .5 slims online (in the colors I like,) and they obviously don't have Miffies online in packs. (so...best pen trade EVER?) :walrus: -
