So I searched earbuds, earphones, and some related terms and didn't find any threads. Delete this if I search failed. Do you guys have any recommendations for a good set of earbuds? Here are some things I am looking for: -Reasonable Price: Even if theyre the best earphones, I don't wanna pay $100 for them -Durability: I've had quite a few earbuds that all frayed, got wiring exposed, or otherwise got damaged around the jack that gets plugged into your iPod or whatever music player. I want something that'll last -Quality: who doesn't want good quality? I'm not the most critical person about sound quality, but I definitely want something that sounds good. Suggestions would be appreciated, preferably from experience :)

Well I used to use those sony earbuds. I dont exactly know the name cuz I lost them >_> They were 25 or 35 dollars, i dont remember which. ended with a 5 tho XD Their sound quality is pretty good and they never broke for the duration I had them which was a little less than a year. I use the bose earbuds now ;D Soooo good. But they are out of the price range you want :(

those are solid ones. I haven't heard them before so I can't say about audio quality, but the build quality is definitely top notch.

I just go to Best Buy or wherever and pick up the $40-50 Panasonic in-ear whatevers. This system has worked out for me for the past few years.

Something to consider for the audiophiles out there is to note the difference between noise cancellation and noise isolation. IIRC, noise isolation are just the silicon or earbuds that are made for the earphones, but noise cancellation is where there's a microphone of sorts on the outside of the earpiece, and it receives the noise from the outside, and it then emits a frequency to nullify the sound. To my knowledge, this means that audio quality is hindered in ways, it just seems like noise cancellation is gimmicky, especially since music played at a high enough volume can damn well compete and beat most every day situations. From personal experience however. When it came to efficiency, nothing beats these. http://au.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=441&product=11397

Like the ones you put in your ears and automatically become a little bit deaf and can hear yourself talk loudly when you talk?

In-ear noise cancelling stuff is crap. If you're gonna go noise-cancelling, use the big earphones (e.g. Bose QuietComfort). Noise-isolating is usually a better choice.

What. I think he is refering to the fact that In-Ear headphones always make you a little deaf. Thats how they work btw, no way around that. Anyways, yes it is. Also /Thread: Sennheiser CX880
