Most of the links on http://thespyre.net/penmoddingwt/ don't work for me... They worked earlier. (3+ months ago) Anyway, another one would be cool, or maybe a UPSB one.

so it's a go? and we need a host/judge, etc.

We can have a UPSB one. However trying to manage an anyone can enter a tournament is quite difficult. Even with selected users back in the PMWT09, there were people who didn't submit. Just be aware of that is all.

Since I'm literally too poor to compete this time around. I'll be happy to judge if needed.

i dont think it was time or organization the problem it really is the financial aspect... you would have to finance the modders... give them a budget I heard the final round cost kam $100 or something...

Yeah the tournament fricken raped my funds haha. That LED mod costed $45 in raw parts. Kam and Neptune put a ton of money into it. I would say to keep things under a budget of $30 since that keeps the pens within the reasonable range of practicality. I think 30$ is most spinners would pay for a mod if it were to be mainstreamed. However that brings up another issue of how much a certain pens worth. (kind of tough to judge there). Maybe just say keep it under set $$$ amount and have them put the Estimated Price of Build. The other thing I would like to see this time around is Modder only presentation. Not to knock neptunes modding skills, but he had an external graphic designer do all of his graphics/presentation aspects. If he did everything himself would he still have won? -

iMatt;77920]I would say to keep things under a budget of $30 since that keeps the pens within the reasonable range of practicality.
Sould be more than enough at least if you do not use ultra rare parts like Aqua ComSsa and LED-Stuff. You can build beautiful pens with less cost aswell!
However that brings up another issue of how much a certain pens worth. (kind of tough to judge there). Maybe just say keep it under set $$$ amount and have them put the Estimated Price of Build.
Does this include the price for fucked grips? e.g. when you do a gripcut and fail and have to start again with another grip? shall the destroyed grip be part of the price, or jsut the final parts used? Do you mean: No edit! or do you mean: The modder has to edit his pictures himself. (at least it should not be too much!) ?? -

Even though this doesn't relate to the UPSB one, does the pen modding world tournament pages work for you guys? It doesn't work for me anymore... (it did 3 months ago) and I really enjoyed looking at all those mods. Thanks.

It does not work for me either. Sincerly i did not get any feedback from the other GPC modders =/ Some think this WT wouldn't work, because Kam would win anyways lol =]

im not trying to exclude GPC, but wouldnt a UPSB one... mainly for UPSB spinners? like.. using UPSB as their main board? i dunno >___> cuz if you include GPC spinners, then somehow JEB starts to join and there comes THPSC... eventually this will be a PMWT again.. PrinceXD

that's why the topic is called "World Pen Modding Tournament Discussion". i would love to have apmwt since i couldn't participate in an upsb one, since gpc is my main-board.

I think more modding contests the better, its really exciting to see the pro mods that actually are presented for a tournament, its not like "show off your mod" with just a picture... there's like a detailed breakdown of the features, multiple angle pictures, etc
