I fell on the ice while ice skating about a month ago and i fell straight on my nose, a lot of blood went on the ice and i washed out my nose. I wasn't struggling to breath or anything but now when i get hit a little or tapped on the nose it feels really bad. I can feel that some of the bone is messed up. My family does not have much money and I dont want them to pay for an expensive hospital bill.If anyone can tell me what I should do it would help alot. -Miko

Umm take the pain and straighten it out with your hand. @Nate not everyone goes to a white cracker school full of crackers and only like 3 black kids.

Mr.Squekers;74118]Umm take the pain and straighten it out with your hand.[/QUOTE] That's the absolute worst that can be done. Nobody should attempt to set a bone in place without proper training (i.e. medical school). Aren't there free health clinics? Try one of those. I'm sure they'll help a kid with a broken nose.

I'm not that poor, I do have insurence but I would rather not have to pay an expensive bill if I really don't have to

I don't want to adjust it because I think the bone is actually broken not misplaced. I still might give this a try though.

If it's actually broken, seek medical attention before the bone sets funny.

If you have insurance, definitely go to a hospital to get it checked out. I think your parents would rather pay a bit for that than have you suffer with a nose deformity for the rest of your life. It's always better to get things treated sooner. Without insurance, yes, it would be quite expensive (maybe ~$10-15,000? guestimating), but if you have insurance, I wouldn't worry about the cost as much and I would worry more about your nose.

That's the point of insurance, you don't pay the hospital bill you pay a co-pay. Do your homework and get your nose fixed. EDIT: Now that's being a dick.

yeah what sangara said, what did you think insurance was for? things like that can get worse over time, I am canadian though so I view health care a bit differently
