Cut and shave the clip of the Jimnie cap so that it is completely smooth 2. Cut 2 mm of the HGG Grip and stuff it into the Jimnie Cap. 3. Signo Tip is put into the Jimnie Cap 4. Cut 2.6 cm of the Hyper Jell grip and 3 mm of one Anyball/Profile grip 5. Stuff the cut Anyball grip into the cut Hyper Jell grip 6. Add an insert if desired around the Hyper Jell grip, and stuff it into the Jimnie cap 7. Cut 2 mm of the Pastel Color Grip and put it into the Jimnie cap after the Hyper Jell 8. Remove the G3 grip, Slice down with a blade, and poke out back plug with BBQ skewer. File down the nubs on the front of the G3. Cut 6 mm of the Signo grip and place it on the G3 Body. 9. Cut 3.5 of a second Anyball/Profile grip, unscrew the plastic tip of the G3, and stuff it INTO the Plastic G3 10. Screw on the plastic tip of the G3 firmly after you are done stuffing the Anyball grip in. Wrap some tape around the pen point to ensure it. Cut off any unnecessary tape using scissors 11. Put the Metallic Gel Tip over the Plastic G3 tip 12. After that, put the Needle-Point tip over the Metallic Gel Tip. Wrap a piece of tape near the point where the Needlepoint tip and the Metallic Gel Tip intersect to ensure the Needle-Point tip won’t fall off 13. Slide the Lakubo grip onto the Plastic G3 14. Add some tape around the end of the G3 Body so that the Jimnie cap stays on securely. Use the right amount to keep it on whilst avoiding cap cloud. Add an insert of your choice and spin! [/SPOILER]  =========================== Q/A: Q: How can I cut my cap clip? A: You could use some sort of hacksaw, then an X-Acto to clear the leftovers, and then sand it, or wire cutters work. Q: Where can I get that insert? A: ============================ I really like this mod; it has a great weight/length and a lot of momentum! Thanks for reading, and I hope you will all enjoy this mod and tutorial!

It's the same insert as the body. Just print two copies, and cut the second one until it fits.

Yea, but he asked what portion.

I tried matching with TEK's replicas but I just cant see which part it is. I'm currently using the right side of the insert.. sadly attention seekers doesnt agree, and I just want to make sure. PrinceXD

right. If you see Ponkuto's tutorial on youtube, he simply just added the right side of the seven insert. To see it yourself, just go search "SEVEN G3 Mod" and click the first one.

You can use the Signo grip which you use on the G-3 barrel. It's same as the Pastel color grip. I've done it with the Signo Grip and it fits perfectly

    Date: Wed, Apr 6 2011 07:52:31

You can use a white *Signo Broad* sub for Pastel Color

Alright... so for the substitutes: G3 plastic tip - Sailor Gel tip Jimnie cap: Hyper Jell cap Lakubo grip - Signo RT grip Needlepoint tip - Metal Signo tip Metallic Gel tip - Plastic Signo Tip, Sailor gel tip HGG Grip - RSVP Grip I may be wrong on some subs, so correct me if I am wrong in any way. Hope this helps!

This mod looks sweet but is a mettalic gel tip that black plastic looking thing?

  29. Cloud
    Date: Sat, Apr 23 2011 21:44:26

@Noodles yeah but its better to cut n shave use wire cutters n x acto

  30. Jacob8185
    Date: Sat, Apr 23 2011 22:25:46

@Kiiro Yup; you don't really need to worry about what color it is, it will be covered by the lakubo and the needlepoint tip anyways. But if you don't want to buy it from penwish, the subs are above in my previous post. You can sub the metallic gel tip with a PLASTIC signo tip. It doesn't really matter what color it is anyways.

  31. Kiiro
    Date: Sun, Apr 24 2011 05:24:25

@Jacob8185 yeah i probably worded that badly i was wondering if its heavy or not

  32. Jacob8185
    Date: Sun, Apr 24 2011 18:29:25

@Kiiro Yeah... you kind of did... The Metallic Gel tip is actually the weight of a plastic signo tip, which if you don't know, weighs around less than an hgg tip (Correct me if I am wrong)

@Noodles just found out, thought i should tell you. doing the hyperjell clip cut complete makes the cap REEAALLYYY fragile. i got a package from someone who did that and the cap came broken i really dont recommended it. just stick with a diamond cut if you plan to do that.

@Zowie cause i have a lot of profile grips at my house i was wondering if it can be a sub for hgg grip. Then it'll save money if i order from penwish.

  46. PenwisH
    Date: Sun, Jul 24 2011 20:17:17

if you are very skilled it can be but it's VERY tight so it's hard to get the whole tip down and the grip in place still

any sub for needelpoint, none left on penwish :(

  49. linli07
    Date: Mon, Jan 2 2012 19:23:44

@jabog you can try signo tip, but the weight will be different

  50. Froggy
    Date: Wed, Jan 4 2012 02:04:21

for those that believe signo is a perfect sub of needlepoint, gg. signos are much much heavier than needlepoint, and the shape doesnt even resemble needlepoint. use a g3 or g1 tip instead. as for metallic gel tip, use a plastic g3 or super grip mech pencil plastic tip. Frog~

  51. Chobi
    Date: Fri, Jan 6 2012 18:17:40

This is seriously COG:COP? O_o I don't understand how a single Needlepoint tip would balance out a Signo + Jimnie cap in the back

  52. Migi
    Date: Fri, Jan 6 2012 18:54:02

@Chobi The Needlepoint tip is farther from the COP than the Signo+Jimnie Cap. Besides Lakubo is a heavy grip.

  53. Froggy
    Date: Sat, Jan 7 2012 04:17:32

Hence this mod haz a very weird weight distribution to it... Frog~

Have that being said, this mod has little momentum. The weight is distributed evenly throughout the whole mod.

  55. Chobi
    Date: Sat, Jan 7 2012 06:21:11

That sucks. :/ Was thinking of making one. Oh well, thanks guys.

  58. ChainBreak
    Date: Fri, Jan 13 2012 20:08:26

Lol how has the Seven G3 no momentum? IMO it has more than Ballsign or metallic ComSsa and it spinning it feels awesome.

ummm... so you need the insert? its the same insert.

  61. purplet
    Date: Sat, Jan 14 2012 12:06:32

The weight distribution doesnt matter that much, i built many versions with same stats but different grips and i got 2spinners who live where i used to live to try it and they couldnt tell the difference, gave them 4xseven mod and the both picked the wrong one at first turn then one picked the right one at second try, thats below average:) the only reason to do it like seven did is that this arrangement (using "rare" needlepoint) is the most stable one, if u want it as stable with signo, noname plastic tips and stuff u need to add a little bit more weight (like 0,4g) to the mod.

  62. HuTai
    Date: Mon, Jul 7 2014 15:57:22

What should I do to balance it if i'm using a signo tip? or a g3 tip?

  63. ChainBreak
    Date: Mon, Jul 7 2014 21:16:59

Depending on which side is lighter you can add more grip inside the hyperjell grip in the cap or add something like patafix between the tips. Sometimes even using a little bit of tape at the tips/under the caps can even it out. ;)
