Groups D and F are some of the most competitive. D: Especially F. Omg. o-o Edit: On closer look, group E looks really close too. I see 8 spinners with very realistic chances there.

ponkotu, freeman in my group zzz...any creativity attempted by other members of group A just got epicly overshadowed xD raeik is also formiddable, i don't know enough about the other spinners to say much though -.-

On the website, there's a post from Sombo that says that he's swamped with work from school, and is unable to participate. It also says Zombo is trying to figure stuff out to get him back in, if possible, as well. Tigeroat will be his replacement until then.

For those who don't know yet, AzuL and me are collecting the videos in SpinAlong, check this entry to see the list. Trying to update as quick as possible ^^ Talking about the combos...HAL omg. Passing the 1st round easily :P Mesi...maybe could be a bit better, but it can be enough for him. The rest is ok, but too much "white pens, power tricks" everywhere. Good luck for everyone though :)

My favorite videos were... too many to name. A lot of videos really impressed me. I would like to mention ASIn's video, completely reliant on style and I really enjoyed watching it. I also liked Mesi's video, it sort of reminded me of Makin actually, but with harder linkages. HAL was also golden, s777 of course with that insane comssa spinning, kin for godlike mx spinning, Eriror for giving me a little bit of everything, Rhetoric and Sponge for totally surprising me, and A13X for just a crazy and well executed combo. Oh, and Raeik. My favourite video was [B]Vic[/B]. Very good execution and creativity and difficulty - a bit of everything. Quite the same es [B]Eriror[/B]. Also very good. They´ll gonna go far. [B]NZ[/B] also surprised me, very strong combo, very fluently. I just cant name everyone good, just one more (apart from [B]s777[/B]... :D). [B]Snow[/B] had a really interesting video, played with the camera and his arm movements. I won´t do any predictions... they´ll be wrong anyways and I don´t have that much time... perhaps later :P "Disappointed" (surprised in a negative way)... well, quite a lot videos we´re "not that good" or didn´t fit a WT. [B]Turndont[/B] was too foggy and ... well you cant ven see his spinning. [B]Hamster[/B] dind´t fit at all, to repitetive and to spammy. [B]Ponkotu[/B]... its a pitty, good ideas but needs better execution. Surprised in a postive way... [B]Clay [/B]- GPC, didn´t expect that :) [B]Raeik[/B] - very fluently, go on that way! I can tell you right now it's not going to be Vicgot or Gollumsk8. S777 could be a good call though and Eriror has almost done the distance before. -

actually vic, officially, IS the best spinner on upsb. He won the UPSB tournament in 2010. (beating Eriror, Pen Ninja everyone) gollumsk8 is a very experienced spinner having strong abilities in all aspects of pen spinnin. baks, arounds, triangle pass, and his combinations of aroudns and advanced flush sonics are perhaps un surpassed. Also another major note is that he won the FPSB tournament (beating s777, whom u claim has a good chance to win) so using this his combos have potential to knock out every other spinner in the world tournament. so i still think he has a very good chance of winning. -

my favorites (this is not based on the criteria, just gut feelings) A: raeik - best combo of the group, just too many good elements in a complete package freeman - execution is crap; don't like the double-push on the two-handed seasick at the beginning. first part of the combo is amazing in terms of creativity up until the thumb/arm stop which is cool. rest of the combo is not so great though. the group is not that strong IMO, so should still make it ponkotu - bad execution too; terrible mistake while setting up the finisher. very short but filled with good content, so I like it. well like I said this is a weak group and that's the only 3 that I really liked. so if I had to pick a 4th I'd say Fire@fox or metal. props to colddi for improving his style. B: I don't know the exact order here Rhetoric - love this combo!! great rhythm, good execution, very flashy links and tricks. Baaron - good style, only weak point is :12-:14 I find a bit weak. Supawit127 - not the biggest fan of his, this combo a bit different than usual due to 2p2h, I'm willing to bet he prepared a lot to succeed in this WT dOmToM - love the effortless direction changes, the ending is sweet but looks flukey Wah, Ivabra were also very good so too bad for them C: Vic - #1, killer, complete package Sister_R - Strong style, but will he get stale after a few rounds? Hmm that's about it, the rest I didn't really like that much. So maybe A13x (structure too disconnected, but nice technique). 4th place hmm either Ccw (nice 1p2h, some execution problems at the end) or Nz (don't like the trick selection, but its well executed) D: kin - insane combo, i love the way he wiggles his index when doing triangle pass 234 ("come over here!"), green mx zombo-style helps a lot too jajajaja Smile - Solid stuff, good mastery Gisele 8 - like this combo a lot, leveraged the speed perfectly, this is how fast combos should be done. Tose - amazing finish, probably the most memorable of the first round. rest of the combo backs it up. E: Eriror - Awesome, all the highlights are accentuated correctly, only problem maybe is :18 that pen raise looks a bit artificial gollumsk8 - its not the best combo ever by him but its solid enough, it shows overall skill level without really any low or highlights snow - the angle is terrible; should have at least cropped the video to get rid of the dark space. the combo itself is amazing though and stands out. for 4th hmm I'd take Minzian (lovely opening, nice changes) or ocha (horrible structure, but insane tricks like the punkan into 1p2h that was awesomeee), its too bad 1 of them will be eliminated F: x1213 - insane combo, great flow, great control Mesi - well, really short, not much to it... still outstanding tempo Tigeroat - really good stuff, the more I watch the more I like it, 2 really appealing face-up sequences going down the fingers, and nice finish ASIn - nice style but can't see shit honorable mentions - (kirua - good breakdown, but the rhythm is off, need to re-think the structure), anikis (terrible angle / camera, break is difficult but it doesn't really show on film) G: HAL - aggressive spin, dynamic but in control Rex - not the best, sometimes redundant in the "highlights", still good Lekunga - the seasick at the beginning is one of the memorable moments in R1, but I am a bit concerned with his potential in future rounds. Fratleym - the zoomed in version is really good, can see the details very nicely, and the execution is up to par. kr4zy has great stuff but again it seems like he has hit his ceiling, its a shame the group is tough. H: s777 - best spinner in the world currently, no one can reproduce this combo on a comssa. BaiMai - one of the few who know how to use spinless 1p2h sequences effectively. one of the highlights of R1. Sponge - nice surprise, some of the linkages are really awesome, I want to see more I don't know for the last spot, either Penja (overall skill level is good, but lacking the big WOW moment) or ctionist (good technique but terrible control...)
