I've heard that there is no list of all the power tricks... So i'm starting this thread to help any wannabe power tricker (like me :D)

Busts Cont FL TA Hai Tua Spreads [Palmspin > FL TA] cont. Pun kan Also if you do any aerial/release version of any of those tricks those would be power tricks as well.

power tricks are not properly defined hence there is no definite list of power tricks. Some people consider baks power tricks and some don't bust power tricks.

make a list after WT11, coz peem will release a ton of new ones :P 'power tricks' definition is vague, but for me, they include busts, fl ta, spreads, pun kan, fl ta > palmspin (can also use other fingers for this), hai tua, and aerial variations of these...also high revolution spin tricks (baks, top spins etc), swivel and twisted cobra bite variations sure, heaps of stuff, but the wiki says something along the lines of power tricks being visually impressive and difficult, of which all of the above are, imo zzz

I think multiple baks, especially indexpinky bak or "handbak" or ringmiddleindex baks and their variations are powerful too. But you can´t really define them. Maybe you can say, that powertricks are mostly continious tricks which are very hard to do and which are very hard to do continious, but... well that´s vague again... I guess the mentioned tricks are the ones mostly done and known as power tricks. Parn new maybe. Whatever.

Imo, i think of power tricks as whatever tricks/combos Spinnerpeem has created himself or has popularized, since he himself is the one who created the whole "power trick" style. So the only trick/combo that i would consider power tricks are.. Haitua and its variations (Haitua release, haitua with different fingers, etc) Palmspin > Fl TA Air Busts Index spread (to link into other power tricks) Parn new (and variations.. other fingers, switch parn news, etc.) Punkan Spreads (Even though ive never seen Peem do cont. spreads, Supawit takes credit for this one.) I wouldnt consider twisted cobra bite or swivel as a power trick since ive never seen Peem do any of those tricks. And whatever Peem does (He told me he has a couple new tricks) in this years WT will probably also be considered power tricks.

what is the definition if a power trick anyways?

9. walrus
Date: Thu, Jan 6 2011 21:59:32

a trick that involves spam

i say power tricks should be the tricks that take a lot of momentum, in other words the heavy mods help with those, while other tricks are easier to do with lighter mods

...and since people who spam tricks are powerspinners, people who spam posts such as this ^ are 'powerposters'

Lol took the words right out of my mouth! Vic's definition seems most accurate, Peem's main tricks are the original powertricks. They should be able to be done continuously and fingerlessly and fast. So things like Busts, Punkans, Spreads, Palmspin -> FL TA, and maybe Cont. MidBak 1.5 to an extent.

oh lol XD... is parning a power trick? or is it like a mini combo?

20. vento
Date: Fri, Jan 7 2011 19:30:16

I guess parn new (if you mean that) is a power trick (cause it´s just inverse index bak reverse palmup). And that continious. Hai Tua is more a minicombo than (like.... Ta-> bakspin 0.5 -> fl sym ba -> fl ta whatever- DONT TAKE THIS BREAKDOWN IT´S WRONG ANYWAYS). It´s like with ... Bakfall or something, people say, they can do Bakfall now, like it´s one trick, but it´s a minicombo of a couple of baks and fl passes- that´s what parn new doesnt have... imo.

lol... ohhh ok... i'm not sure if i mean the new one because the one im talking about is like a palmspin>FLTA or something like that :D

22. i.suk
Date: Mon, Jan 10 2011 01:54:16

it's meant to be 'pun new', not 'parn new'.....pun new means pen goes around finger, and pun kan means pen goes around arm apparently 'parn new' is something like 'birthmark', i got corrected on THPSC

@-ACE- , A power trick is well....a trick that requires a good amount of power to perform. They usually involve some wrist/arm movement

Is there a point where a thumbspin becomes a power trick? If I was a person peroform a 10 revolution thumbspin I'd probably call that a power trick.
