camstudio is pretty good, except for recording full screen programs, then its pretty laggy in my experience, maybe there's some settings for that, i didnt check the few times i did it, you sshould check it out though :)

I use fraps http://www.fraps.com/ It's a very good program where you can manage the recording framerate.

Yeah 100% camstudio is free. Only thing I don't like is that if you record over about 2 gb itll freeze up and corrupt your file cuz it can't handle coding it (you can still find the temp file though)

You can try hypercam or debut video capture or fraps

hypercam is shit. its cheap, adds its watermark.... laggys, ect. Camtasia studio is pro :) highly recommend it

I use the webcam software built into my laptop it has a screen capture option, play around with yours, maybe yours has it too
