When i record my self pen spinning i always mess up idk idhbut i do. I can swear i can do the exact combo when i was in front of my laptop on UPSB preparing a combo for a battle. Theres something about the camera makes people nervous about PS. How cna i solve this problem? I can spin perfectly fine wihtout a camera aiming at my hand.

just practice in front of a camera for a bit, you'll get used to it

Just pretend like it's not recording/isn't there. Same for most things on camera.

a lot of the time ill mess up more because i want the spinning to be much better quality if im recording and i wont accept as many of those minor fuck ups

I think this is why people spend so long filming- if there's no way around the nervousness, then do it a bazillion times until it turns out right on cam since it's bound to go well at least once

@Hidekyo dont rerecord, just keep going and them use a basic video editor like windows live movie maker and only use the last 20 seconds of the video that had the successful combo :p trimming is easy

Usually it takes two hours for me to be able to pull out a meager combo. I usually get frustrated and that stops me from progressing further. Just be super patient and keep filming over and over.

i find that when i try to film a combo for a long time and repeatedly fail, then stop for a while, i can usually pull the combo off in just a few tries when i start filming again. weird.

Usually I mess up at a particular point in the combo whether it be a specific linkage or the finisher, etc.. Just keep practicing that part of the combo until you master it and then try filming the combo again.

What I do that's helps for me is to take small breaks when filming for a long time. Say your filming for 10 min and can't get a combo; take a minute break and don't spin. Give your eyes a rest since they've been staring at your hand nonstop. :P

That's what I do too ^_^. Your eyes get tired, the position on how you spinning, the concentration or so focus in your hand messes you up sometimes. And Idk how people did not think in cutting the last 20 seconds of the combo, it is so obvious like Twine said  Hidekyo ur hand also gets tired even if it is a light pen, you are actually lifting something of weight :). Almost all the replies from spinners in this thread make sense, good help for Hidekyo. -

Weird. Whenever I record it's always freestyle, 'cause I'm useless with combos.
