This baby right here works like a charm. Cuts skin very nicely, very thin cuts, depending on how much you want to bleed. Also cuts grips the same way.

The emo at your local high school will have a few of these on-hand. Just give the guy a dollar if he won't let you have one for free. I took a bunch from this place I worked one summer, they work p good.

Just get a razor blade, a sanding tool, and a safety knife and you're ready to start modding.

I still think a hacksaw is great for cutting barrels. You might have to file down the cuts after but it works wonders on hard plastic while a knife won't do as well.

Finally a non-useless thread! I would recommend an exacto knife for grip cuts, cutting grips, and tape cuts. for body cap/cuts, i would get a small hacksaw. sand paper would also be nice because hacksaws tend to leave a rough cut occasionally.

Or get a file. Much better control over what you're sanding/filing. Though sandpaper is really cheap.

For barrel cutting, I use a hacksaw but generally I cut about 1mm longer than I need to cut in case I mess up I can just file it down. For grips, I took the blade out of a utility knife and just used that. It hurts using just the blade with no handle but it gets straight cuts though you can't do fancy grip cuts with a utility knife.

@KTrinh93, do you know a good cutting tool, or does anyone know a good cutting tool for the RSVP barrels for a vicgotgame?

Hacksaws are generally the tool of choice for cutting hard plastic barrels.

@KTrinh93 , how would you cut it safely? Like, how would you hold the barrel without risking cutting your phalanges off?

... holding a barrel isn't that hard.. unless the piece of the barrel you're cutting is really short to begin with.

But you should not forget to sand the cutsurface. Otherwise it looks ... you know ;)
