Its out of 240. And its not, but its good to take it to know where you stand/how much SAT prep/tutoring you need...and it's only $20 ._. Also, if you're a junior, you're eligible for scholarships with a high score. -

national merit is based almost ONLY on psat, and national merit is a big fucking deal in college
