lol we only have 5 premium members and 2 are inactive ... If any of the active premium members want to help with this that'd be great but it's looking like this might have to be a staff-based thing

Even if I wanted to help I have no clue where to start. I'm not sure WHO should even get an award lol. This entire year has been a load of "meh" I'd give one to zombo for upgrading the board, Penwish for getting more kickass pen parts, and well that's all I have in my book.

The thing that happened last year was once we got a committee going of people who were interested, I tried to get people to get on msn or something at the same time to try brainstorming some ideas. With different time zones, that wasn't exactly easy though so mass PM'ing between a few people or a few people working it out on msn and then getting another committee member's opinion whenever they were free might be the way to go. Last year, I think I did it with SJ on msn mainly? And maybe someone else, but I can't remember right now. This year, we can reuse last year's awards and take out some + add in some new ones (read this thread: http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=24731 for input from last year). Okay, so yeah... 1. Get someone to run it 2. Make a committee (3-4 people is good enough) 3. Brainstorm/edit old list of awards 4. Each person on the committee can nominate ~3 people per award (w/ rankings(?)) 5. See if you can get 2-3 strong nominations per award 6. Discuss w/ msn or PM'ing who should get what award. If there is disagreement, bring it to a vote.

I think a good award would be "Spinner's Choice Award" or something We have a one-week thread for nominations (one nomination + one second will nominate), then a one-week poll to decide (is it possible to make polls where only mods can see the results? if not we can just link to an external poll or something, but then people can vote more than once) winner of the poll gets the Kammy

welp, i'm willing to do it but i've got an exam thursday, a flight friday, and plans saturday-tuesday, so if you guys want to wait until next wednesday to start it then i'll head it, otherwise somebody else has to do it

kammys are typically only revealed in February, you still got plenty of time -

Busy with music&sports this time of the year, and I was never in a position to organize this, I am willing to help out and participate in nomination, but I'm not really in a good position to head it. Also, it's getting a bit late for the 2010's.
