[B] Im Hosting Next Years UPSB Tournament[/B] so if you think you have what it takes to win by all means join. This is sign ups only. its sorta like the ECS tournament but no teams. 32 people max [COLOR="red"]this is for people who are not in the WT.[/COLOR] RULES- 1. it is a free for all tournament/ no teams 2. your combo cant be over 30 second long 3. you will be judged on creativity,difficulty, and smoothness [B]Judging System[/B] - it will be out of 45 point is the max and you will get 5 point for each area from a judge so EX if you get 4/5 on creativity and 2/5 on difficulty but 5/5 on smoothness then you get 10/15 from one judge. but another judge sees it diffently and gives him 3/5 on creativity 4/5 on difficulty and 4/5 on smoothness then it adds up to 11/15 and the 10+11= 22 so so far he gets 22 points out of 45 but the last judge thinks its horrible and gives him 2/5 3/5 and 1/5 = 6 then you add the 6 to the 22 and it = 28 pts total out of 45 and if your opponent has more points you lose but if your opponent has less point then you you win. i need judges for it so if your willing to be a judge PM me if your interested.. i sent out a few pms but i might need volunteers for judging. the judges will be made public and your score will be made public. and to make it fair im not going to be a judge and i will be perticipating in it. honestly i think we should cap it at 32 there are only three judges and i dont want them overwhelmed with videos. and its singles there are no teams. it will go 32....to 16 .....to 8........to 4......to 2.......to 1 its going to be a 1v1 so you will be paired up randomly and if you lose your eliminated -

The trouble here is, there seems to be interest from about 50 people. We could possibly have a 64 player tournament format and give spinners who are clearly stronger a bye? So there would be 32 matches, but say, 5 of them are just byes. That way, around 50 people could join this tournament. In fact, any number, from 33-64 could take part, although, this leaves the question of who gets byes? I would say anyone who was considered for the last WT spot and missed out. Also, there are a few pen spinners who have joined this tournament who will be favourites to win or do well, they could take byes next. What do you think AoD, everyone?

Since there are so many people joining, I think it would be pretty good to have 50-64 people with byes if there aren't any more people to fill in the blank spaces between 50-64. However, I honestly would rather not have to judge 50+ combos. I guess we could always get more judges, say... 12 for example. 4 groups of 3 with each group judging 8 matches (16 players) in the first round. There would be of course, a slightly greater bias problem since one group of judges may judge harsher than another group. It would still remain relatively consistent since each match would have the same judges to reduce the level of bias, but there is the problem of people complaining when comparing their combos to ones judged by a different group. Only a minor problem though.

even though Aod1 is organizing, i find it odd that Aod1 gets in Automatically AND is judging the qualification vids. Also people getting in automatically is kinda bias...? But ill stop complaining and send in a qualification vid because i want to compete.
