He doesn't have a full comssa -.- He has body/bodies and cap/caps. He asked what mods use the body and cap so I told him. anyx the version that only uses profiles? the tut is somewhere in v3 pending section. i'll find it for ou later if you want cuz im on ipod. g2's are a major component in guitrum's breaker mod again not really much you can do unless you can get other parts -

Hey i'm in croatia right now and i found much of pens here. What can i do with - pilot g1, g1 grip, g2, g3 , dr. Grip, - grip matic , hgg's -i think all the uniball signos that exist. -uniball lakubo, hyper jell caps, schneider slider -balsigns. -super pirat (i forgot to type it. But i soo far made ballsign, g3 mx , g3 mx 2, minovate dc, x matic . Thanks!

i said a dx. seven's uses a pink/purple dx grip/tip/backplug. planter's uses profile grips, and signo tips i believe -

their is a shitload of mods that use hggs as for the airfits you can make either a buster cyl or a vicgotgame mod -

I have : A few papermate flexgrip ultras zebra z- grip , loads of them. 2 pentel pens, not sure what the are but they are just regular pens with caps. and a selection of others, anything I can make?

Includes: BIC Round Stic Grip Dong-a Anyball (rare *to me at least*) Pilot SuperGel (easiest to get) Pilot Super Grip(easy to get) Pilot G3 (easy to get) Pilot G1 (easy to get) Pilot G2 (easy to get) Uniball Signo (easy to get) Pilot Dr.Grip (expensive) I think thats about it!

Well , im not sure but its rare thats what i know. If im not wrong they are discontinued. But well, im new to pen spinning so i don't know :) I haven't seen a lakubo in singapore and hgg's in singapore are discontinued and are maybe are hidden in dark dark dusty spots in shops , hidden by fellow pen spinners. HG2G3 needs hgg's grip so thats out too ): Sakura ballsigns i haven't seen any so i guess ballsign mod is out too... i have yet to find japanese g3 mods and fake dr.kt . could you link it to me? :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will try to look for sakura ballsigns and Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip tomorrow to make HG2G3 Thanks for your help! -

Are there any mods that have sharpies, or some other permanent ink, as their writing tip? Comssas are okay, but their tip doesn't write on certain surfaces as well as sharpies do.

I dont know if there are any mods that use sharpies as a body or something like that but Guitrum's Breaker mod uses a sharpie pen and you should be able to get all the parts

Thanks, but I mean a mod that writes the same way as a sharpie or permanent marker, that is it uses the same tip and ink. The Breaker doesn't write at all.

Jan if you mean the most monetary value, a wellmade f1r3fly g3 is worth a decent amount. Spinwise and in the long run I would go for waterfall though

There arent any mods that write with a marker because taking out the ink and applying it into a normal ballpoint pen just wouldnt work and using the bodies of the permanent markers dont usually end up well =/

what? mods CAN AND DO write in marker. Colortwins and supertips are markers right? you "could" leave the felt and ink in the buster and dr ct and kt mods and have them be writeable

Guitrums Black mod uses those tips, You can actually make that mod Pred, get bic caps, flexigrip tips, g2/profile/any grip and a body, you could use a comssa body from your order. you just gotta tape one bic cap and your done, 2nd mod i made after a bictory

Any-X, i heard it was unstable and fragile and I was apprehensive to make it but it turned out well. If you have the right equipment like a proper hand saw and use a part from a bic round stic you dont need to use back clickers of g2s at all. As for the tip, there are many subs for it, I used a pilot bp-25 or something tip on my friends, weighs the same and looked even better then the hgg tip. If you make a messy job of the joining of the two bodies you can put electrical tape over the middle.

Any mods that use Pilot Superb G or Hyperb V? The tip on Hyperb V looks like a signo tip and feels alot heavier then a hgg tip so should I assume it is indeed a sub?

Hi people I went to a back to school sale to get a hold discount pens today. I bought the following: 12 normal R.S.V.P. pens 6 pilot g-2 pens 8 styleized paper mates and 2 zebra z-grips So now I need ideas/tutorials for some mods useing these pens. P.S. I do have some random spare pieces somewhere just need to find them. Thanks guys

Okay first of all no need to double post... Second, those tips are plastic if I remember correctly. I guess they might add to aesthetic appeal but really not used to add weight. Just use em on one of your tipless mods if you want. EX: comssas, bictories, etc.

@MaxPa you can use the g2s and signos to make a g2 cte vortex, if you get an rsvp you can make an MX, otherwise there isn't much you can do

All I have now is a BICtory but I know there are some that are possible, but I don't really know what pens, because some of the abbreviations are confusing. @bubbles: is that one of each pen? if you have 2 comssas, 2 hgg, you can make a metalic comssa or switch it to 2 signo tips if you want more weight (try the hgg first though, i'm assuming you just started) depending on how many hggs you have, you can make an rsvp mx with the hgg and rsvp alternatively you can add the g3 tip to the rsvp if you want to make it less back heavy g2 and anyballs are used for the grip, so add them to what ever you like also you can make an Lemon mod http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtibHUM4qtQ&feature=player_embedded needs comssa body, hgg tip/grip, signo tip, rsvp

@KevinLG if you get another gelly roll you could make a ballsign (minus the dr grips, which you can sub) ballsign uses the gelly roll and g2 grips the other pens i haven't heard of, nor am i willing to research on google images (sorry) but if any of them have a metal tip, or suitable grip, you can double cap a pen (or does the marvy calligraphy already is double capped?) and put tips and grips on it for a personal mod i dont see any other "famous" or common mods you can make with that collection

Well, i have tons of these, and in many colors, i'm wondering what mods i can make with them. RSVP mx grip/cap fit perfectly and it spins like smex, they spin pretty well double capped and you can add comssa caps to the ends if you wrap some tape around the ends.

You can take a super tip. cut off the tip end so you have an even cylinder and take 2 g2 body pieces(the smaller part connected to the tip) and stick that into each side. Try to find any tips to screw on the end or put weights at the end. This mod is slightly longer than a buster and has incredible momentum and smoothness. Here is a picture:

Hey quick question. What mods can i make with the Hgg and Rsvp? I got a fair few of both and am looking for a new one, having used the Hybrid -DC- HGG since i started. Ideally i'd like something with a similar look to the Hybrid -DC- HGG, as in customisable with grips and a clear barrel but any suggestions would be helpful. Also if possible i would like something a little longer than what i have which is around 18 - 19cm so maybe 20 - 21? Thanks.

@XShadowKratosX Try this. 1) Cut the G2 barrel (the back part) to the length that can cover MOST of the HGG grip part (leave roughly around 1cm?) 2) Sand off the front part of the HGG grip part so that the G2 barrel can slide in nicely 3) Add 1cm of HGG grip on the grip area, covering part of the tip 4) Add HGG tip to HGG barrel 5) use RSVP cap for the back of this mod - Balance it off yourself... add grip/tips if its not the way you wanted. My first mod was just double capping a signo Uniball and then putting grips on each cap. How about you use the G-Techmatic grips for it? You'd want to remove the intube for balance reasons. Keep the signo tips as they will come in handy :) Hope I helped. -

if the lakubo is NOT the rt one then u can make a lakubo mod u just need a pilot supergel or neogel. and the hgg if u can get a rsvp u can make a rsvp mx. double cap the ballsign then u have a ballsign mod.

It's very hard to get G2 grips off the pen. You can use a thin and hard object to get if off with a lot of force =/ And even if the grips look too small you can stretch them to get them on the caps. -

I was constructing my own g3 mod when I started thinking as to what classifies a mod as a g3 mod. Does it matter how much of the g3 pen is used? Or does just using a barrel or a tip consider it a g3 mod? I also wanted to know how spinner named g3 mods started? and why they're the only ones (at least to the best of my knowledge) that has a spinners name in all g3 mods? Since technically anyone can make their own variant of any mod and,I know there are spinner named mods like the bonkura kt but why are spinner named mods so consistent with g3 mods? also sorry if this thread was already made or put in the wrong section but thanks in advance to those who answer any of my questions.

Usually bodies, like kUzus, F1r3flys, Key3s and SEVENs. Some people classify their personal mods with G3 caps as G3 mods but I personally think it's more suitable if the G3 body is used. You could be calling a kUzu a HyperJell mod just because it uses HyperJell caps right?

flex mx, metallic comssa, rsvp mx maybe rsvp mx2 if you live in united states you should be able to get signos so g2 cte vortex toro mx experiemnt with comssa as body or rsvp as body. You can make a firefly liek mod with rsvp body as sub for g3. Lemon mod maybe? jsut experiment but i suggest you get signos, it will be better. -

You cnat really make a lot with those pens. You need pens with tips such as uniball signo or pentel hggs. If you can you can make a normal mx and other rsvp mx variations If you canf find a supertip, a g2 cte vortex -

You can make RSVP CX with the 2 RSVPs You can then make extended G2 with the 2 G2s You can then, using frixion mod's method of connecting two barrels together, and DC them for a simple frixion dc mod.. and cut the papermate grip into half for grip version. or you can just mash everything together and pray for miracle to happen ;) Frog~

double cap your comssa, cut dr grip in half, put grip on both side and put dr grip tips on edit: oh wait, you only have 1 dr grip tip, then if you have 2 gripmatic tips then use those, or use whatever tips you want -

Make the bics into a bictory, put the caps of the playons on the bic caps, cut the iPen grips to desired length, put it on the playon caps(which are on the bictory caps) then put in the g tec tips. :) dunno wtf that easy glide thing is, and imo the frixion is useless :/ -

@HashBR With bic round sticks you can make a BICtory, though you know that. In the US you can buy RSVPs which are commonly used. Sometimes you can find grip less HGGs, signo subs or pens with the same tip. I think if you just bought an RSVP and put the cap on the back you would be happy with how it spins. Just look at staples or office max and see what you find. If all fails buy a waterfall mod from Penwish.

Hey guys, I am looking to make a single sided retractable mod. I have a few bic velocity pens, pilot g2's, uniball signos, regular bics, papermate dynagrip and some left over grips from penwish orders. Any nice mod's I can make with these? connect both pc2 or just use one. can use caps from cartoon comssa on ends with anyball grip on sides and signo tips on ends . you may have to modify the cap to make signo fit

You can do a 12ve mod. 1.Take out the ink of the comssa 2.put hgg tips on the comssa caps 3. Put gripmatic over the hgg tip and put dr grip over the cap 4.finished :) I hope this will help you -

if you have 2 emboss pen maybe you can make an emboss mod w/ airfit tips. well it will taste like dr kt IMO. because emboss and kt caps weight is similiar and dr grip tip is as heavy as airfit tip.

I think I've found some reynolds 094 cap subs. I haven't had the chance to test them out yet since they're $2.50 a pop in this store but I'll get around to it soon. They come in a variety of colors.
Clear and black caps. Notice how they have the same type of grooves on the top of the cap like reynolds do.
The barrel of the pens seem to be around the thickness of a super pirat or super tip. I'll test that out also and see if they can fit snugly onto a comssa barrel. HGG tips were unable to find into the top groove of the cap. I may have a signo dx tip I can use to test unless someone can tell me how I can remove the signo tips from my waterfall mod. Dr Grip grips may or may not fit onto the cap easily, I'm leaning towards no. I also noticed that there is a comssa-like obtrusion from the side of the cap. -

You could make an RSVP mx or a metal comssa or a g3 mx??.. Thats all I can really think of lol. There would be heaps more possibilities but Im not that great at coming up with them haha -

If you have a signo/hi-tec c you could make a toro mx variation or a rsvp mx with a g2 grip. If you have one comssa cap you can make a Hybrid Comssa MX with a RSVP inktube instead of a HGG inktube. -

you can do a tipless Firefly g3 mod (or only with one g3 tip and use the g2 grips on the front and back) and yes Super Grip = G2 grip -

we call classic jimnie- Jamnee. Jimnie Gel is the tinted one used to sub Hyperjells and the clips are not fully removed. Jamnees are used for mods like seven mod and the entire clip would be removed and sanded.

hey @deadpool , glad to see you around here. BTW, spsc will be up again in some days, I think... You know that that materials aren't tha commonly used ones for modding (except hgg and maybe the color eno) so probably you will need to continue investigating by yourself :) But, maybe some hgg/eno grips over caps and body of the twin marker (I dont know how thick it is) and some metal tip inside the grips (does the shaker have one?) can be enough ^^

with what you have, you could probably make a decent single-capped mod. use the g1 tip on the gsoft body and extend it with an extra grip section. balance it with grips as needed on either side.

@Fuse make a minovat dc v2 and like zeta said stuhl mod. If you want you can also make a ivan Comssa with KS tips. Another option is to make MX or a fake Shinra Mod: AC Body with backplug>put cut Comssa body on both side, use modrod grip or sailor grip with the combination with black anyball at the end of both sides, with ks tips.

You can always make selfmods. Decide whether it's going to be singlecapped/symmetric or doublecapped/asymmetric. Find a suitable body (soft plastic like ComSsa, Supertip, Superpirate, ... or hard plastic like RSVP, G3, ...) and add a cap and a front if it's singlecapped/asymmetric, otherwise go with two caps/sides/... . Feel free to use whatever tips and grips you can find as long as the final mod has the right weight and feels balanced enough. As your modding skills develop, you will know how to do things better and what to avoid. You might even start incorporating techniques from other popular mods in your selfmods. Oh and don't take this too seriously, it's just supposed to be a rough guideline how most people invent mods.

uhhh cept like hibachi mod noone has the parts for. I don't think there are any common easily accessible mods that can be made with one cap. unless you get creative with a cap in front with a g3/jimnie/hj cap in bacl. prolly wouldn't be bad

Eurocracy SC. CT Cap on kearing body, jimnie/hyperjell cap at the back, g3 tip screwed into the front CT cap, dr grip grip on the CT cap, signo tip in the hyperjell/jimnie and the signo grip inside that too. Then push onto the back of the body, no tape needed to hold it -

you can make the stuff the lnk above or you can make a g2 cte vortex variation using the carioca body but without the tips. You can layer the grips to 2 layers, if you do some stretching so I suggest super grip then g2 over it becuase super grip is a bit thinner (if you want the extra weight). You need more parts to make better things -

You can't mod anything with a singular G2. But if you wanna make a mod out of G2s, then G2 Z vers, G2 ETB, and other G2 mods will do. The wiki should have a small list of mods that uses G2s. Frog~

You cannot do many thing if you do not have any metal tips. With RSVP you can mod a RSVP V1 or V2. You can also use supertips to mod a ivan mod and put g2 grips and profile grips on it, that it get weight and momentum. But you cannot mod something special without tips -

I've already made an RSVP MX with the G2 grip and HGR tip, it's sitting on the table in front of me right now :) I don't know what kind it was, if it helps at all it was light blue and had a clear grip. -

@Chu you can make.....a......regular unsharpened #2 pencil there is no real mod that uses that just put whatever grips you want on it and spin it if you wish but it's a pretty bad mod unless it's a little longer than normal one and is round not hex.

Well, to make an existing mod, you'll need more parts, the lakubos can be used in a lakubo mod, the G2s could be used in a G2 mod, but these will require you to get more parts. But if you can't access any parts and you want a mod now, then you can make a personal mod (a mod of your own invention). Sorry for the late answer, btw. -

Well, I don't know of any mod using an Icebreaker, and I briefly googled this as well. Your best hope would be to do what I told Turista (above), "make a personal mod of your own invention," get new parts to make a pre-existing mod, or to sub parts for a pre-existing mod. Ex: Sailor grips can be subbed for G2 grips. -

you will need some anyball or something to hold stuff together of some kind. not many mods look good without grips of somekind. try walmart if you want something like profiles or something.

Tip for people moving onto power tricks and have a metallic commsa: If you can't buy a heavier mod, just put another cap on top of the caps on both ends and it will have great momentum and spin beautifully. No glue, etc. needed. Just push the caps together.

DC mods: Comssas (double cap a Dong A sign pen and, optionally, add profile grips and/or hgg tips), BICtory (double capped bic round stick w/ optionally added tips and/or grips). SC mods: A personal RSVP mod, or some RSVP mod that uses those listed parts that I'm too lazy to hunt for, a Flexible MX (though you will need some additional parts that I don't think are on your list), any personal SC mods as well. Yeah, I don't really know my mods, but you can make a personal G3 mod as well or a firefly G3 with subbed parts, like sailor grips instead of anyballs, some sub for the gripmatic tip, maybe stack a couple signo tips or something. IIRC super lavables are same as super pirats, so you can make Waterfall mod with airfit grip. -

you could make comssa's with the dong a's and the HGG tips, or a signo tiped comssa. and you could put anyballs on it. or you could take the caps from the comssa's and put it on the super tips and customizer it with grips and tips. -

take out Supertip backplug, empty the body, put comssa backplug, add comssa caps to both sides, put Anyball or Energel grip on the caps. Add tips. -

I want to make something so badly with the white acroball, just because it looks so nice. I think it would take quite a bit of crafty work to get what I want. The white acroball tip (the tip is the entire tip and grip together) fits into the body of the black artist pen. I could make it double ended (two white tips) but not sure what kind of mechanism to hold the ink inside. Im still a bit feint of heart when it comes to destroying these pens.

With what you have I would say experiment, keeping in mind not all experiments turn out as expected. Here are some things you COULD make with your supplies. Extended bictory (using the 2 bic stics) RSVPv1 (with RSVp's_ RSVP CX Flexible RSVP Mx, with supertip, rsvp, and signo sub. Supertip Mod - Using the bics, supertip bodies, and offbrand signo grips. (Use bic segments as connectors for supertip segments) Note: as froggy said, my intuition says that the officemax pens have plastic tips, but you can still them use them.

The office max brand are in fact metal. They didnt have any signos, but had this type of pen (its literally the same as a signo, just branded as Office Max. The caps clip is shaped slightly different--the only difference I could tell! weird!) Im also waiting on a penwish I ordered on the fly at 2 am last night (NEED PEN PARTS! my brain tells me...) I bought some Dr Grips grips (all three colors), a buster CYL mod part, and some Dong caps. (bought a premade comssa too, cant wait!)

@lopolop the only useful things for a beginner are the G2, RSVP, and Dr. Grip. Universal ballpoints are complete crap bic copies, and are not useful for anything but crap mods. I say beginner because you can use the energizes, but they are hard to cut correctly. G2-e RSVP v.1 RSVG2 RG2t RSVP Cx keep in mind, none of those are very good mods. buy some stuff like signos, comssas, and sailor grips and then you have a pretty good selection of mods.

I've just been spinning this universal pen around my thumb. I also made a (uni)tory I guess out of them. Definitely not very good. Although.. not being very skilled, I couldn't say the confidently.

@lopolop you are most certainly welcome. to mention people, do @ + username. A balanced mechanical pencil mod requires parts that you will not find lying around in an office. I reccomend this website for anyone's needs. The Nachoaddict Mechanical pencil mod, found in the approved tutorials section is a nice balanced mod.

In that case the question becomes are you a spinner with intermediate skill? - If yes then an RSVP will not help you make any mods, you need parts go here -If no then you need to make a beginner mod such as an RSVP MX 2.Do you mean a mod that requires a intermediate level skill to mod? Unfortunately,you cannot make anything with those pens. However, the RT's are a very good substitute for an HGG grip which many beginners do not have. If you had a tip then you would be able to make a RSVP MX. Also there are not a lot of RT mods out there, the ones that are out there are challenging to make. What about a DC-Comssa with Lakubo/Laknock/Patint-Grips on and those tips in them.The Lakubo/Laknock/Patint-Grip is pretty long I'd say. and BOOM ! Got a mod. But that mod would be really heavy because the tips are 5 grams heavy including the Screw that would be heavy as hell as said before. I hope that I could help you ! ^^ Btw, the grip doesn't have to be Lakubo/Laknock/Patint it can be any longer grip cause my guess would be that the tip is pretty long ^^ Semi

Ive got them, they arent usefull at all for pen mods, they are about as long as a comssa cap. The lacknock/lakubo grip wont work either. They are pretty much useless.

Lol those tips... You can try drilling into comssa cap (hollowing it out) and shove that tip in there. Or some other alternative? Can those screws even fit inside a certain cap? If yes, then have put the screw inside some cap, all the way in until the tip of the screw sticks out. Then you can twist the tip on the screw and there you have it: a mod that never loses its tips.
You can just tell that these tips are made especially for spinners who has a lot of modding experience, maybe for a pro. I mean think about it. Is there a famous mod that involves screws? You may need to think about it long and hard before buying such things. :/ So complicated... lol -

Haha thank you for the imput everyone :) I guess if I accomplished the thing with the cap(In the painting known as 'Paint Swag!!') and the cap was small enough to fit inside of the pen tube end...but then it would almost be like 'Pen-ception'. I mean if it really comes down to it, I can just use them to make a spike pit for a DnD encounter >:D

You can use Papermate Profiles or Sailor Gels. Those are the ideal ones though theoretically any pen with a grip will work as long as it fits. You'd just need to cut them down to size. -

Well, if you want to make an msxa style mod, you don't even have to have any of the right parts. if you want to make an msxa, well, you need all the right parts or it will not be real/correct. If you didn't know this, anyball pens are the same as papermate profiles and star gels max. Read the wiki. -

@ShadowXX I believe only the supertips are actually used for anything. You seem yo have everything for a buster CYL. But if you are a beginner spinner then it is not for you. I suggest making a metallic Comssa. Comssa body 2 caps hgg tips and sailor or grips of your choice. Read the wiki for full details. I also suggest a MX. i believe that bellcolors are basically like colored comssas. they can be used in a lot. their caps are not exactly like comssas though so i suggest using normal comssa caps with it. -

you can make a version of a rsvp mx, just using the rt grip instead of a hgg grip.

Depends on which kind. I do believe you are talking about the one with the long grip with the holes. This is the same length as a HGG grip. It is 1 and 1/2 rsvp grips long. Anyway, if you are talking about the old one, the one with the retractable cap, there are some old mods you can make with that. That is very rare so be careful. IF you have the OLD rsvp rt. As in the one with a spring in the cap. @SpyderDragon Sorry to hear that. You could make a Firefly g3 and sub the cap for an rsvp one. I made a RSVP Firefly before. The caps work if you put tape. Look at Nachoaddict's video on "Cap attachment"

Ok, so I received a Zebra Antique Hyper Jell, and I was surprised because I had never seen one before. It's like a regular Hyper Jell, except it's tinted kind of white/silver and is sparkly. I have 2 questions: Are Zebra Antique Hyper Jells rare pens? I know that it's the same as a Hyper Jell, but is there any mod which SPECIFICALLY uses the Zebra Antique Hyper Jell?

you can pretty much only use the grip to make a mod with but I think that if you sand enough the clip, you could add a cap and try to mod a RT mod :)
