@Zombo they aren't banned from use, the teacher wanted to ban the children from bringing them to school the teacher said they would provide them with pens and pencils at school to use... which is pretty pointless

Students would no longer be allowed to bring writing implements to school. It said pencils would be provided for students in class and [B]any students caught with pencils or pens after Nov. 15 would face disciplinary action for having materials “to build weapons.[/B]”

This is absolutely ridiculous it's like banning books and rulers and safety scissors and every other school thing needed because those can all be weapons too. Lending them out to students they will still be weapons except the teacher supplied them.

to be honest ? you can "build weapons" with anything... so just ban everything and live with nothing ? that's not really possible
