Spiders are the weakest pieces, they're like pawns in chess. if you can use them well, you gain an advantage. 2. Don't wait until round 4 to place your queen, it's usually not a good idea. You'll probably defend from the start if you do so. 3. Grasshoppers move a long distance but very limited in direction. Use them at the end. 4. The game is about tempo: try to gain a move on your opponent and not lose pace. 5. If you manage to trap your opponent's queen under a beetle, it's a pretty good way to win. 6. Ants are very powerful in both attack and offense, try to keep them "mobile" (movable) so you can react to any move. 7. When under attack, look for a way to escape the queen. This is a huge advantage if you can do it. 8. Offense is the best defense if you're winning.
