Just joined, I am pretty new to pen spinning but have learned all of the fundamentals. I got into this very much from one of my friends who I think might be a member here, (cadayday?). I am really into lots of skill stuff and am a competitive yoyoer, diabolo player, juggler, and I enjoy all skill type stuff pretty much. Hope to get involved in the pen spinning community as much as I am in others. Heard that there are northern cal pen spinning meets? Interesting story, at a yoyo meeting a few months ago at UC berkeley , we happened to run into a pen spinning meet up, found this interesting, haha. Anyways, glad to be a part of this board. J.

WELCOME TO UPSB my friend. It looks like u r in San Francisco 6 hours from LA. We have meetings, we also have Southern CA Meetings, which is on December coming up soon. http://forum.upsb.info/showthread.php?t=1932 And Norther CA Gathering http://forum.upsb.info/showthread.php?t=1939. Good that you learned all the fundamentals which IMO are: Charge, Sonic, Fingerpass, ThumbAround, Wiper?. Now just think on what mod you would like to use. If you are really new, do not get a Buster CYL so soon. Start with light materials such as pencil, double sided pencil, RSVP MX, Metallic Comssa. Any questions, feel free to ask ;).
