This is neat. I've always wanted to learn how to do this but have never ran into a widely accepted name for this, or any tutorials information about it at all. It's integration into penspinning would be very fun and could add even more to either live performance, or the use of musical &rhythmic phrasing in psing.

From Wiki Answers Pen tapping is easy, I use the one-pen style. Use a thick pen, hold it in the middle. Your wrist is the bass, clicking the end of the pen against the table is a click, and slapping it is snare. B=Bass, C=Click, S=Snare 4-beat rhythm: BCSC BCSC 8-beat rhythm: BCSCCBSC BCSCCBSC 16-beat rhythm: BCBCSCCSCCBCSCCC BCBCSCCSCCBCSCCC (Remove the C's for a general beat of any of these) And one i made up: BBSCBSCB BBSCBSCB Try improvising, sorry but I don't know 32, 45, or 64 beat rhythms :( Have fun. OK to get more complicated you can use two pens. This will allow you to come up with more variety. What you will mainly use your not dominant hand for is to just do a Click. But, sometimes you will also use it as a Snare or Bass. Have fun adding the other hand to the equation and good luck coming up with new and cool beats. ~Josh Messier~ *BRENDEN BRUCE EDIT* Ok, so these are beats that I made up... LEGEND : 1=Bass 2=Tap 3=Slap 4=Second hand Tap _=Small Pause Beat one : 1_131(Keep repeating for as long as you like.) Beat two : 113 133 333 Beat three : 113 111 3(Repeat) Beat four : (Last Beat) 1 424 3 424 1(Repeat)

I saw this person in my Spanish class trying to pen tap today. At first few weeks, he saw how mesmerizing my 1p2h pen spinning was. After 2 weeks of trying to learn some tricks from a guy next to him (all he does is TA harmonic :/) he decides to pen tap today. Surprisingly, the teacher didn't mind. O_O
