$4 for grips. Think about it. I get 8 for $16 for black grips, with no shipping cost. Logically, would I spend 5 more dollars for 7 fewer pens, JUST because the grip is yellow? Assuming it's $2 for a tip and an inktube. Really? As a potential buyer, there's no way I would ever do this.

Dude you should do some research first. The only reason they cost more is because they aren't made by uniball anymore and they're pretty rare... Edit: Well I'm saying this disregarding the shipping cost. The only thing pushing me away from buying them is the shipping. I can't believe it costs so much in Brazil ._____.

No, I know that they're out of production, but paying that much for a yellow grip is a bit outrageous for modding purposes. Collecting, I can sort of see, but it's still pretty insane to pay that much.

How is it outrageous? Okay it's outrageous at $4 for a grip and barrel if you're comparing it to other brand name grips but the color AND rarity are the WHOLE POINT of buying one. It's basically comparable to M&M markers. They're discontinued and a pack of them costs about 5 times what a pack of color twins costs. Yet the bodies are identical and same with the caps (disregarding color)...AND PEOPLE STILL BUY THEM. Edit: Scratch that. A CT pack costs about $17 and M&M packs go for around $120-150. So they're actually 7-8 times the value of the CT pack. (Well that is to pen modders/spinners)

That's true but M&Ms were discontinued for quite a while, how long were yellow DXs discontinued for? It's not like EVERY SINGLE DISCONTINUED PEN goes ridiculously high in value.

No but they do rise in value usually. Unless it's a noname pen or if the company mass produced them and made so many that it is still easy to get them even after manufacturing is discontinued. However the latter still rises in value eventually.
