Lets start planning for the end year gathering so it can be as big as possible. Kari will be is Singapore from 29th Dec - 4th Jan and 15th Jan - 20th Jan. I'm guessing everyone would prefer we have the gathering in December so it's either Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th or Friday 31st. Which one do you guys prefer? or is it to early?and January would be a better idea?

Would be weird for a lot of guys to hang out with random older guys they met on the net..... We wont be having some giant gathering/tournament like GPC so it's not really necessary. Thanks for the offer though. but I dunno' meeting up 2 days sounds pretty cool

By the way some of the things we can do is: 1. We can do the GPC battle type thing for whoever wants to take part. But since we don't have as many people, we could each record some stuff for 1 minute and post it here so we can get the other UPSBians to vote for us. 2. Film a collab. I'll definitely bring my camera and I've been doing major editing for the past week or so so I can edit for the collab (no need for the one take thingy) 3. Go Pen hunting around Singapore. We have a surprisingly cool set of junk that can be used for modding so it'll be cool to go around Singapore rather than stay at the same old place. Some thoughts

If you want to do the hunting thingy I think it might be best we meet on 2 days 'cause some of the places are in the east, west, north, south and back. So maybe one day for hunting, the other for everything else? Suggestion only.

Okay it has been long since we last organized a collab. the last one by xternal dating back to December of 2008 (shit thats two years! ) So, since many of us like this idea, I'd be more than happy if we successful collab to showcase the spinners of our country. Generations of spinners come and go . I'd wish this collab to be the best that we can be, yet I also do not wish to remove too many clips during the filtering stages. I'd try my best to pack as many videos in as I can, but they must be of presentable quality (that is, a good camera and angle and a good angle ) I hope i'm not asking for too much since I know that some of you guys have been inactive for awhile , but I believe you all can do it. Remember that I wont be an asshole during filtering, I definitely hope to receive as many videos as I wish. If you think you are not good enough, I'd still encourage you to try because theres a high chance that you will be in due to easy filtering. Just be the best that you can be, and we'll see. Basic requirements: YOU MUST BE A SINGAPOREAN SPINNER! decent camera and angle good quality video and presentation decent combo (try not to spam too much) each combo time to be less than 20 seconds if you are interested, comment "/in (enter your PS name)" Collab details: Collab name : Singapore Spinners : Revolution Editor: (AT THIS POINT OF TIME WE STILL NEED AN EDITOR. I believe it's normal for the march gathering to be rather small. Last year, only 5 people went for it. It's a busy time, optimum months are June or December.

I find it quite curious that we are discussing about the location of our next gathering when we have not even discussed if there would be a gathering yet (given we always have it but I think the order is all mixed up) and before anyone start's discussing details on the December gathering, don't. It;s way to early to start discussing anything for that now. Honestly Vivo and City Hall has served us very well. Anyways, since we are on the topic of finding a new location I believe we have discussed this before back in v3. This are the criteria that must be met: 1. It has to be convenient for everyone. Obviously the definition of convenient in Singapore when it comes to gatherings such as this is in town. Though the majority of spinners lives in the West side we need to accommodate for everyone including those like myself who live in the northeast area. Hence we meet in town. Basically any mall/location at any of the town's MRT station is convenient. 2. There has to be a place where a large group of people can sit together and spin without being chased away by the guard or we wont disturb anyone else. 3. It needs to be indoors for several reasons like the fact that our whether has mood swings every other day and can go from rain to sun in an attosecond, if we have our mod's flying everywhere at least it should be indoors so we can find them easier and no one will get stabbed in the eye if someone drops a KT. 4. It has to be somewhere close to a shop with good mod-able pens since most of the time, we'll go buy some pens during the gathering. I might be forgetting out a few factors. However, these factors alone limit our choices greatly. So consider these things before putting out a suggestion.

Alright I thought I might throw this idea out there now since we've been actively discussing a gathering. I was hoping that we do something a little different from our previous gatherings this time around. Instead of only sitting around, talking and waiting for something to happen perhaps we could have a live tournament thing if sorts. The format and all can be planned later but what do you guys think of the idea. I know some spinners are considerably better then others and I can try to design a format to alleviate that problem but the main purpose is to have fun and battle. I wouldn't mind sponsoring a prize also if there's a lot of participants. Also, SPRiNG and I have been wanting to do this since last year. We're planning on going around and "disturbing" non spinners. WE might do things like basking or going up to people and teaching them pen spinning or these kinds of random things. I guess those uncomfortable with this can just sit back and laugh as we make a fool of ourselves but I'm wondering if anyone is interested to join us. This is just a proposal so please let me know if you guys like the idea and want to carry it out.

the idea from that stemmed from what SPRiNG and I saw in some of the other gatherings like the french gatherings. It doesn't have to be teaching alone. It can be disturbing or anything as long as we interact with others for fun ( I think it'll be fun to go around and disturb nonspinners) SPRiNG and I sort of agreed to do it in December when we had that gathering to pay jay the cash for the pw order.

Orchard Road is a must I'd say. Then there's the Botanical Gardens, and next to it there's an awesome Indian restaurant with excellent mutton. And take the MRT from end to end. -

There's botanical gardens, some of the reservoirs, treetop walk, and bukit bakot hill but honestly all these places aren't that fantastic imo I guess botanical gardens would be best Things to see wold be the merlion, sentosa, the new casinos / themeparks. If you want some cultural stuff the best would be little India, China Chinatown and gelang area to see the Chinese, Indian and Malay cultures a little.
