Don't get me wrong, I like the new board. but why do we need it? UPSBv3 was fine. Mods could've just added some features :dunno: Was it just to clean everything up? And it was quite sudden (3 or so days notice).

It's better, more reliable (I would suppose). Mods have been working on this for a while now.

the old board is outdated, the old forum software isn't updatable because their community has no support. if we had updated our old software we would have lost key features like feedback and groups. yet, if we don't update, we would have been subject to security weaknesses and spam bots (which was already happening). i agree it was far from being broken, but this is the right move. once you learn the new features, you will never want to go back: i cannot imagine a forum where we don't have prefixes to filter collabs by community.

It's a really good design. The design is similar at gnome.

Why domain has changed? From www.upsb.info to forum.upsb.info. Do administrators plan to do UPSB Portal on www.upsb.info?

because www.upsb.info/forum is the old address, forum.upsb.info is a more distinct address to avoid confusion with the old forum

If you just type in upsb.info, it will take you v4 of UPSB. You should just bookmark this page btw, so you don't have to type it in.

The limit for uploading pictures into albums is ridiculously low, ~20kb per picture. Is this intended? Like that, you won't be able to have something like pen-collection albums. :s
