You have a week huh. You probably have school too. I would say do practice problems. Buy a book from the bookshop that has sat practice problems in it but make sure it comes with answers AND explanations to the answers. If you had more time, I would say take a course on SAT prep but you only have a week. Vocabulary is kinda out of the question because you have so little time to get so many vocab words done. People usually recomend you have 1000-3000 words under your belt. sat vocab words that is. For me I find reading the worst. Make sure you can manage your time. And try a practice test at home before you go. Yes for 4 hours. Then score it. I think they tell you how to score it in some of the books.

Learn to guess like a pro. Process of elimination, most valuable tool you'll have for standardized testing.

Man, SAT's are for squares. Seriously, there's really no need to take them. Same goes with the ACT.

@Mike;, idk theyre probably a good idea to take if you plan on going to college. People take it way to seriousily though. Just get lots of rest before hand, if anything brush up on basic grammar and spelling, and basic algebra and math rules. Anything else you have learned in school and you should have the skills to accomplish. PSAT maybe learn to make educated guesses, honestly I like the ACT a lot better than the PSAT, use your time wisely. Practice studying in loud/distracting enviroments, it's very different and will probably be more like the actual test if you take it in a crowded auditorium like we do. Anyways gl we all have PSAT next week :p scholarships 4 mi and yu <33

shouldnt u have started preparing 1 month in advance... in china they get bootleg copies of all questions in the database, they memorize the whole thing, takes them 3 months, then go over it twice to make sure its fully memorized, takes noather 3 months. then they get 800/800 score without understanding english

For the PSAT, you usually take it just to see what your score is without much prep to see where you are/how much you need to improve. For the actual SAT you usually prepare like 6-8 months in advance with a tutor.
