General Discussion / "New Faces" Tourney?

Well, there's this kind of local tournament/competition in the sport I'm joining called...something like "New Face" or something. So basically, it encourages players who haven't won any gold medal in any prestigious competition to join. I was thinking if this can be incorporated into Pen Spinning? EDIT: i notice that this seems to be lacking a lot of info. so just post questions here if something arises.

Are pro spinners allowed to join too or is it for those people who are like, at an average level or something..

Avenger, i think so. :) basically, it's a tourney for those spinners who haven't received some kind of popularity.

Isn't this kinda like the spinning league thing (forget what it was called) that was started by strat? Except that it's a tournament not a round robin kinda thing. It would be hard to decide who should be in or not. So you're gonna organize this? or is this an idea?...
