Welcome to the Pen Spinning Battle Royale, I can guarantee you that it will be unlike anything you have ever participated in before! The Battle Royale is a team competition with small teams of 2-3 spinners, you will have to find a friend or two and create a team name of legendary proportions . For those of you who have no friends, don't worry, we'll also offer a matchup system so that you can find your perfect partner <3... oh, isn't it romantic! Now then, the rules:

[*]There are to be no more than 6 teams in the competition
[*]Each team will consist of 2-3 spinners
[*]Each team will start with 100 points
[*]There are 6 rounds in the competition
[*]Each round, each team will choose one other team to "attack" with one of their spinners
[*]When attacked, a defending team will select a spinner to "defend" in a battle
[*]All teams not participating in the battle will judge the battle taking place
[*]If an attacking team defeats the defending team, they will gain 50% of the defending team's points
[*]If multiple teams defeat a single defending team in a single round, the 50% of the defending teams' points will be split evenly among the attacking teams that succeeded
[*]Attacking teams do not lose anything if they do not win the battle they started, this is to encourage attacking stronger teams
[*]Teams will be ranked at the end in the order of points achieve

Just form a team with beginner members, all the pro teams are likely to get focused by any teams below. Winning against a pro team once will give you a huge points boost, even if it's hard. -

All the pro teams will win the first battles and get all the points. As they have all the points the other teams will focus them, which makes it weaker when you have to have pro spinners performing in multiple battles at once, so you are more likely to win. If you can't construct intermediate-level combos then competitions in general are not for you though. -

I would recommend creating a UPSB group for your team so you can discuss who is going to spin, who you are going to attack, and discussing judgements etc. on a side note I am looking for a team, I don't mind banding with intermediate spinners or pro spinners @DioBrando Get your asses in here

Yes a spinner may take as many battles for his team as he likes. A new video must be used each time -

Okay, if anyone wants to join forces with me, here's what I propose: A team composed of beginners (like me - almost a year) with maybe one more experienced - maybe even someone who hasn't been active for a while and wants to get back up to speed. Tactics: challenge stronger teams with interesting and unusual compositions of simple tricks that might catch out the more advanced spinners if they get a bit lazy and spammy. Team name (suggestion): Upstart Hyperbastards Who fancies it? I invite @Court34 but anyone who likes the plan is welcome. Edit: ideally only spinners with same or more experience than me. :)

I see four so far. I'll extend to 8 teams. if needed, with the number of rounds being the number of teams - 1. I will officially be taking in teams and placing them in the first post from today until sunday. Then we will enter a period where you have 1 week to make your choice on attacks and generally practice and get organised. From then it will be 1 week to film, 1 week to judge and plan, so 2 weeks every round. With 5 rounds it would take about 10 weeks, with 8, 16. Please be aware OF WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP TO. YOU WILL BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED FOR UP TO 16 WEEKS. -

Teams will be locked in on monday. You will then have a week to select the team to attack and what spinner to use. Alternatively you can choose to attack on monday and begin filming in time for next monday, instead of postponing a week. What do you guys think?

Yes This is made fair by the fact that the points gain will reduce if you keep attacking newbie teams. If you do not choose to attack by wednesday it is not fair to the opposing team and I will consider you as not attacking. -

@Ceru Seiyu I think i have come across a dilemma with the point taking (50%) system. Which points do we take first. (this probably doesn't make sense but read on) Consider the following scenario.......There are 3 teams (for eg. The Cicada Complex, Team Corus and Halcyon's Uprising) I have 150 points, the other two teams lost their matches so have 50 points each. Say if Halcyon's Uprising defeat my team on an attack, they take 50% of my points, leaving me with 100 (from the points i win) and them with 125. However, i attack Corus and win 50% (just pretend that Halcyons uprising haven't taken my points yet which means i still have 150 because we all attack at the same time) leaving me with 175. Then (after corus) say Halcyon's Uprising take 50% leaving me with 87.5 and them with 137.5. I ask you which points do we take first because if we take 50% of my points which Halcyons Uprising have won (when i had 150 points) i will be left with 75 then add on half of the team i defeated, leaving me with 100 points, BUT if i add on Corus' 50% which i won FIRST (leaving me with 175) then Halcyons Uprising take my 50% they won from ME, then i will be left with 87.5. So which points get add on/taken away first because if half my original points get taken away first (when i have 150) then add on 50% of the points i won from Corus, the total is LARGER than if i add on the 50% that i won from Corus FIRST then Halcyons Rising take half of it away. This may be a bit confusing....

So which points get add on/taken away first because if half my original points get taken away first (when i have 150) then add on 50% of the points i won from Corus, the total is LARGER than if i add on the 50% that i won from Corus FIRST then Halcyons Rising take half of it away. This may be a bit confusing....
For teams A, B and C, each with 100 points. If Team A beats Team B and Team B beats Team C, the points taken from Teams B and C will be from the points they started with, so there is no order of attacks. Team B will gain 50 points and lose 50 points, giving them 100 points, while Team A will gain 50 and have 150, and Team C will only lose 50 points and thus carry only 50 points to the next round. If Team A and Team B both beat eachother, starting with 100 points, they only gain what they started with, so they both lose and gain 50 points, leaving them with their initial totals. -

You need to submit 4 videos but you can have whoever the fuck you want record whichever. One guy doesn't have to film all the defending videos. These are individual pen spinning battles after all -

You make a request to the opposing team for an extension and you will be able to submit late if they permit it. -
